Oh, Florida. I love you and your unpredictable temperament. One minute you’re blessing us with beach weather, and the next? Better pull out the flannel onesies. On this particular January morning, I was deceptively tricked into believing us Floridians were about to enjoy a day filled with sunny skies and temperatures in the 70s; however, the weather people in their infinite wisdom didn’t factor a) that they’re always wrong b) the wind chill and c) the wind chill near any particular body of water. It was in the 50s (plus wind) on Lake Baldwin, and although I may have been freezing, I froze with good company (you’re the best, Anna Yanev) in my favorite C. Wonder hot pink crepe mini skirt. #RIPCWonder
Since I am and have always been anti-Valentine’s Day, I decided to create the perfect brunch-worthy Galentine’s Day outfit. Just because I disagree with this Hallmark marketing ploy of a holiday doesn’t mean I can’t salute one of the traditional colors of good old St. Valentine, hot hot pink.

As many of you know, I have a slightly clinical obsession with monograms, and as soon as I saw this cross body envelope clutch from Marley Lilly, I just knew it had my name {and my initials} written all over it. For being pink and relatively large, it goes surprisingly well with… everything, and it’s quickly become my favorite go-to clutch… and a mandatory inclusion in my 2015 Galentine’s Day outfit spread.

I’m literally about to beg Express to both re-stock and make this Crochet Trim Tee in 7 more colors. The back lace detail is chic and gorgeous, and it can be easily paired with a work outfit, which is pretty much all I’m wearing these days, or included in a girly brunch or dinner outfit combo.
