I feel like spring’s color palette was created to undo the damage caused by winter’s Seasonal Affective Disorder, tactfully known as SAD, by subliminally tapping into our brains and pumping out calm, playful, and/or happy vibes. I’m not a total weirdo, either, because Health.com wrote about it, too. After bundling up in black, gray, and the occasional pop of red during our winter in Maine, my mood was begging for a boost. This colorful spring maxi dress from Jack by BB Dakota was the perfect medicine. I wore it at Harbor Nights during a weekend getaway at the Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, and I couldn’t have (unintentionally) picked a better Mediterranean-inspired backdrop to twirl in front of.
The watercolor print itself is visually stunning, and its painterly pastel stripes are even more vibrant in person. This colorful spring maxi is made of lined, breezy chiffon fabric and has an elastic waist. I have no idea why anyone wouldn’t want to use the sash, but you have the option to remove it if desired. The shoulder straps are adjustable, which is nice, and I couldn’t have asked for a better length– without tailoring, I might add. At 5’7″ an XS is literally the perfect length for strappy gold flats. If you’re under 5’5″, you could probably get away with comfortably wearing heels with this colorful spring maxi, too!
It’s funny– of all the things I missed most in my closet, my Rebecca Minkoff Mini-MAC was at the top of my list. These crossbodies perfect alternatives to standard cumbersome clutches, and they go with everything! This exact bag is out of stock unfortunately, but I’ve linked a similar color and style here.

Who else is excited for spring? I’m praying for lots of May Flowers and not so many April Showers. Fingers crossed! Have a great week, y’all!
Beautiful dress. The colors are gorgeous!
