Kyle and I have lived in Missouri for over a year and a half, and I’m embarrassed to admit that we’ve never really explored any nearby towns. We usually just hang around Columbia and occasionally venture out to St. Louis. My friend and photographer Catherine Rhodes suggested we grab lunch in Rocheport, Missouri one morning, and I couldn’t believe how cute it was. Rocheport reminds me of a smaller Mt. Dora back in Florida– lots of B&Bs, antique shops, classic historical homes. I pulled some of my favorite preppy fall essentials out of my closet and blended right in.
This double breasted camel coat is one of my cold weather staples (see it styled for winter here), and people are always shocked when I tell them it’s under $50. It pulls together so many cute preppy fall outfits and keeps me surprisingly warm in the process. It’s also available in pink and burgundy, too– both of which are on my shopping list. My three other preppy style picks are this red gingham button down, navy wool skirt, and block heel tall boots. Head to the bottom of this post for full outfit details!
It’s also worth mentioning that I’ve owned this same pair of block heel tall boots for 8 years. I also own them in black. This exact pair is from Nine West, but they unfortunately don’t sell this style anymore, so I’ve linked a near exact style here. When I say they’re preppy fall essentials, I mean it. They go with everything, and they still get compliments everywhere I go.
