Affordable Home Decor: Blue and White Home Accessories for Spring by Stephanie Ziajka from the affordable fashion and southern lifestyle blog Diary of a Debutante

The classic combination of blue and white is such a timeless palette. I splurged on blue and white damask bedding from Pottery Barn like ten years ago, and it’s still on our bed. Yes, it’s accumulated a few stains over the years, but the color scheme is just so peaceful and inviting. Whether you’re going for a serene country feel or a dreamy Santorini-inspired motif, even the smallest blue and white home accessories can make a big statement. I’m personally always looking for more ways to decorate with blue and white, especially in the spring and summer, so I was thrilled when I found some of my favorite budget-friendly home decor finds, like my entire collection of blue and white ginger jars, online. If you’re looking for more ways to decorate with blue and white, keep reading. I’m rounding up 20 of my new favorites in today’s post! [Updated 6/9/2020]

1. Velted Rolled Arm Sofa– I love how the tufting adds an extra layer of glam style to this sofa!

2. Navy Watercolor Pillow Cover– Pillows are probably the easiest way to add pops of color to your living space. Pillow covers are particularly great, too, since they’re significantly more budget-friendly than normal throw pillows. Also, you can switch them out every season.

3. Decorative Navy Blue and Gold Tray– Decorative trays are great because they’re just so versatile. I mean, not only are they great for serving snacks and drinks, they can live just about anywhere– coffee tables, bar carts, vanities, ottomans, etc. I own this tray in both navy and pink and use them both every chance I get!

4. Blue and White Ottoman– This stylish upholstered ottoman doubles as extra living room seating. The blue and white dot pattern is absolutely darling, too!

5. Set of 6 Watercolor Prints– I have an unhealthy obsession with wall prints. Most of them (these included) are ultra affordable, and they’re easy to swap out depending on the season.

6. Distressed Blue Area Rug– One the best things about the distressed coloring of this area rug is that it hides dirt super well, making it ideal for high-traffic areas of your home!

7. Blue Swivel Chair– This 360-degree velvet task chair has a fun mid-century modern silhouette that’s perfect for adding a touch of glam (and color!) to your office. I absolutely love the scalloped back design, too!

8. Blue and White Bud Vase– Bud vases are the ultimate small tabletop accents. They’re great for adding color to small spaces and also for displaying broken flower stems!

9. Ginger JarHi, I’m Stephanie, and I’m a crazy ginger jar lady. Whether they’re grouped, filled with flowers, or used as solo statement pieces, I absolutely love decorating with ginger jars. For more chinoiserie decor inspo, check out all my favorite ginger jars under $100!

10. Floral Blue Wallpaper– Wallpaper is back in style tenfold, and I’m here for it. If this particular floral wallpaper is too busy for you, check out Serena and Lily’s blue and white wallpaper. It’s pricey but so darn beautiful.

11. Chinoiserie Table Lamp– I bought two of these Chinoiserie lamps for the dresser in our bedroom and absolutely love them. I didn’t expect much given the price tag, but they look so chic and high-end.

12. Watercolor Chinoiserie Prints– They may not look like much, but I can’t stress enough how gorgeous these prints are! I put them in two white 11×14″ frames and hung them on our living room wall. They add such a vibrant pop of coastal color to our space!

13. Blue and Gold Desk– How charming is this vintage-inspired writing desk? I love that it has three drawers for storage and a built-in charging station, too. If this particular style is a little too modern for your taste, this blue and gold desk is another great option!

14. Navy Runner Rug– This geometric lattice print looks great anywhere and just never goes out of style. We have this exact rug in our mudroom, and it’s held up to all the dirt and dog hair incredibly well!

15. White Decorative Books– Nothing dresses up a coffee table like classic books! This white bundle is hand wrapped in jute twine and contains 10+ literary works bound in coordinating hues. Here’s a tip, though– if you don’t want to spend $150+ on new books, take the covers off your existing hardcovers. You’ll be surprised at how many pretty blue and white spines you’ll find!

16. Blue and White Decorate Orb Set– Arrange these decorative orbs in a large bowl for the ultimate coffee table statement piece! They look great on dining room tables and styled bookshelves, too.

17. Blue Faceted Glass Jar Candle– This blue candle is legitimately my all-time favorite candle. It smells as amazing as it looks, and it lasts a surprisingly long amount of time, too.

18. Modern Ginger Jar– This particular ginger jar flies in and out of stock, so here is a great alternative if it’s not available.

19. Patterned Blue and White Armchair– I love the coastal feel of these patterned armchairs. I used to have a set of two in my office (back when I worked in finance), and they added such an eye-catching pop of color and style to a relatively dull space.

20. Tufted Blue and Gold Ottoman– This navy and gold ottoman is the perfect accent piece! It’s sold out almost everywhere, though, so I’m linking to it at Home Depot.

Additionally, you can also scroll through the products below for a round-up of my favorite blue and white home finds. I think it goes without saying, but I’m a pretty big fan of decorating with blue and white porcelain in the kitchen and dining room in particular, so I added a bunch of kitchen and dinnerware accents, as well. If y’all want, I can also put together separate blue and white home decor round-ups for kitchens/dining rooms/bedrooms. Let me know, and I’ll be happy to post another post together!

Anyways, happy decorating!
