I was asked to participate in the #AlmayTrueYou campaign, sponsored by Almay at Walgreens. Although I have been compensated, all opinions are my own.

Dr. Seuss said it best– there is no one alive who is youer than you! I’ve always loved makeup, but my mom ingrained the less is more mentality in me when I was a little girl. While always encouraging self-expression, she never wanted me to hide the “true” me underneath a pound of concealer, which, of course, was my MO in high school. Today I’m partnering with Almay to tell y’all a little bit about my many sides and how I use the new Almay Shadow Squad™ Eyeshadow to celebrate my uniqueness and channel inner confidence in every hat! Almay believes both you and I are beautiful just the way we are, and I couldn’t agree more. They also encourage us to embrace the little quirks that make us different. It’s such a healthy and refreshing message for all of us, young women in particular, to hear.

Each Almay Shadow Squad (available at Walgreens!) is a monochromatic eyeshadow boasting a velvety smooth texture and offering your favorite shades in four finishes– satin, matte, metallic and glitter. There are fifteen gorgeous colors, ranging from flattering neutrals to more dramatic, on-trend shades. And, like many Almay products, all Shadow Squads are hypoallergenic and ophthalmologist tested! Since I have super sensitive eyes, I love that!

Now, on to my many sides and my three go-to shades of Almay Shadow Squad eyeshadow–

Side #1: Puppy Mom

First and foremost, I’m a cuddle-loving, hair-infested new puppy mom around the clock– the kind who’s totally fine with cancelling weekend plans to stay home and watch 101 Dalmatians with her dog. I love using Almay Shadow Squad 220- Less Is More in the matte finish to subtly brighten my eyes after Nala wakes us up to be walked/fed/entertained in the morning!

Side #2: Fashion Blogger

Next, I’m a fashion blogger by day– and even though I’m not the tallest or skinniest, I’m beautiful just as I am (and so are YOU!). I love blending Almay Shadow Squad 180-Ambition using the matte, metallic, and satin finishes to give my eye makeup a bold mid-day boost, especially if cocktails are on the docket later on in the evening.

Side #3: Eating Disorder Advocate

Lastly, I’m an eating disorder advocate by night. Even though I sometimes feel like I’m in no position to offer advice, talking about my struggles and the importance of mental health awareness is what keeps me chugging along in life. I feel most vulnerable when I wear this “hat,” so I love being able to show my fun and whimsical side with some dramatic winged eyeliner and Almay Shadow Squad 100- Unicorn using the matte, glitter, metallic, and satin finishes!

Also, considering how often I switch up my makeup and how sensitive my eyes are, these Almay Gentle Eye Makeup Remover Pads are awesome. So gentle and so effective!

Oh, and for all my savvy shoppers out there–  now through March 24th, if you by two Almay products, you get one free. Pretty sweet deal! I highly recommend trying both Almay Shadow Squad eyeshadow and Almay Gentle Eye Makeup Remover Pads if you haven’t already! The colors are gorgeous, and I love that you get four finishes with each shade. You can do so many things with a single product, and it’s awesome.
