Amazon summer try on haul by affordable fashion blogger Stephanie Ziajka on Diary of a Debutante

[Updated 8/4/20] Summer’s in full swing here in Columbia, so I’m rounding up all of my favorite cozy Amazon summer style picks under $50 in today’s post. Keep reading for the full Amazon summer try-on haul– and check back in a few days for some new additions! Also, check out last year’s Summer Try-On Haul for even more affordable summer fashion finds.

1. V-Neck Wrap Tank Top

First thing’s first– I absolute love the color of this blue wrap tank top! It reminds me of the ocean and is literally perfect for summer. It’s also under $25, comes in a handful of solid colors (showing a picture of the white, which I don’t love quite as much as the blue, below), and has adjustable straps, which is a big plus. Definitely keeping and packing for upcoming summer trips! For reference, I’m wearing a small.

2. Strapless Ruffle Maxi Dress

This ruffle maxi dress is one of the most gorgeous dresses I’ve found on Amazon (like… ever), and it’s under $40. Seriously, y’all, I own this in both the blue and white porcelain print and this green and white print (showing a more detailed shot of the print below), and I can’t recommend it highly enough. The ruffles are gorgeous, and the placement of the slit is perfect and helps keep the dress light and breezy. For reference, I’m wearing a small, and it’s got some extra wiggle room. Either order your normal size or size down if you’re on the fence. Also, I’m 5’6.5″, and it’s the perfect length for flat sandals. Full disclosure– it may be too short if you’re 5’8″ or taller.

3. Tie Front Button Down Midi Dress

I kept seeing this tie front button down midi dress pop up under recommended items and always ignored it because of the cut-out. I thought it’d be too revealing, and maybe even a little tacky, for family functions. As soon as I put it on, my first thoughts were A. it’s so darn cute and B. it’s surprisingly modest! I wouldn’t exactly wear it to church, but it’s perfect for summer parties and events. Also, the red gingham print was practically made for the 4th of July, which is why I finally gave it a chance and ordered in the first place. Love, love, love! For reference, I’m wearing a small because the XS was out of stock, and I could’ve definitely sized down. Order your normal size. You can also see this dress styled here!

4. V-Neck Ruffled One Piece Swimsuit

I’ve been eyeing this adorable blue striped one piece since last year, and I’m so glad I finally pulled the trigger. Honestly, I love just about every piece of swimwear CUPSHE makes, so I knew it would be well constructed and comfy; I just wasn’t sure how the ruffles would look in person. Y’all, they’re adorable, and the vertical stripes are pleasantly slimming, too. Seriously, this is one of my favorite swimsuits of all time, and sometimes I wear it under white shorts as a full-on outfit because it’s that cute. Highly recommend! For reference, I’m wearing a small.

5. Lace Halter One Piece Swimsuit

I buy pretty much all my swimwear on Amazon, and this lace halter one piece swimsuit is one of the reasons why. It’s absolutely darling, flattering, and under $40. Oh, and the lace detail is downright gorgeous, too (showing a closer-up detail shot below). I personally love the pink, but if it’s too girly for you, this lace halter top one piece swimsuit also comes in a handful of other neutral striped patterns and solid colors. For reference, I’m wearing a small, and it fits perfectly.

6-7. Loose Tie Front Top & White Denim Shorts

First, this sweet tie front top is the trifecta of good summer tops– flowy, feminine, and flattering! I love the bell sleeves, and I love that it can be dressed up with jeans and heels or down with shorts and sandals. I’m smaller-chested, so there weren’t any gaping issues whatsoever, but it may be a little tight for women with larger chests. For reference, I’m wearing a small, and it fits great.

Second, these distressed white denim shorts have insanely good reviews for a reason. They’re so darn comfy and under $30 per pair. They’re also mid-rise with just the right amount of stretch and perfect for women (like me) who want to wear jean shorts without the risk of butt cheeks showing. I just ordered A-Light Blue for Maine, too, and can’t wait to wear them. Their only downside is that shipping is egregiously slow. Make sure you check the expected delivery date before ordering! For reference, I’m wearing a small, and they fit great.

8. Button Down Sundress

I could live in this button down sundress. It’s super duper soft, has pockets, and isn’t even remotely see-through. It also comes in over a dozen prints, several of which I’m ordering for Maine, but this gorgeous blue and white print is my favorite hands down! It reminds me of Santorini, and I’m all about it. For reference, this print is called C6-Floral (for some reason), and I’m wearing a small.

9. Off-Shoulder Ruffle Maxi Dress

This dress may be the best $25 I’ve ever spent. It feels like a nightgown, has pockets, and is dressy enough for weddings and parties, even though it’s soft and light enough to sleep in. It’s actually labeled as a maternity dress, which weirded me out at first, but I promise it looks cute on non-pregnant women, too.  For reference, I’m wearing an XS, and it fits great. See it styled here.

10. Off-Shoulder Chiffon Blouse

I originally ordered this off-shoulder chiffon blouse for Cinco de Mayo, but because of COVID, it got here a few days ago. So… take that information how you will. Shipping time aside, though, I really do love it. It’s perfect for parties, has tiered bell sleeves, and has cute little polka dot details all over. I love how comfy the elastic is, too– I could literally wear it all day, which can’t be said for most off-shoulder tops. For reference, I’m wearing a small.

11. Casual Scoop Neck Romper

This casual romper has almost a 5-star rating with 1,200+ reviews, and I totally get why. It’s under $30 and so incredibly soft. It also has pockets and an adjustable drawstring waist, which is nice, and the materials is soft and airy without being see-through. Definitely bringing this romper with me to Maine this year (it’s the perfect cover-up for lake and beach days)! For reference, I’m wearing a small, and it fits perfectly.

12. Halter Neck Tank Top

As part of a summer try on haul, affordable fashion blogger Stephanie Ziajka tries on a pink Amazon halter neck tank top on Diary of a Debutante

This comfy halter neck cami top is under $20 and comes in a handful of colors. I love that it looks like a halter top but still has normal straps, and I’m a big fan of the ultra comfy/stretchy material. The pink is a little see-through, though, and it honestly doesn’t look anywhere near as dressy as the Amazon listing shows. Still, it’s a super cute casual top for summer! For reference, I’m wearing a small.

13. Ruffle Sundress

As part of a summer try on haul, affordable fashion blogger Stephanie Ziajka tries on a blue Amazon gingham ruffle sundress on Diary of a Debutante

This sweet little ruffle sundress is one of the comfiest dresses I own. It has a sweet ruffle trim and pockets, comes in four colors, and costs under $30! For reference, I’m wearing a small, and it’s a little roomy. Granted, it’s a shift dress, so if you like the straight shift silhouette, order your normal size. Otherwise, size down!

14. Button Down Tank

Of this entire summer try on haul, I probably get the most wear out of this button down tank. It’s airy, super easy to style, and comfy as all get-out. This floral print, which isn’t see-through in the slightest, is definitely my favorite, but I also own this tank in olive green and red floral and literally wear them as often as I can (ie. pretty much whenever they’re clean). For reference, this print is called Flower#1-White, and I’m wearing a small.

Thanks so much for reading, y’all! Check back in a few days for 10-12 more of my favorite summer fashion finds– there’s a huuuge Amazon delivery on its way! Oh, and as always, feel free to shoot me an email or leave me a comment with questions about quality or fit. I’m happy to help!
