Hello, September! Somehow, and I legitimately don’t know how, we’ve breezed through summer. The first official day of fall is Friday, September 22nd, but now that football’s back in full swing and the weather’s starting to change, it’s hard to not celebrate early. August, aka the Sunday of Summer, was an incredible month, filled with so many awesome adventures. If you’re not following along with me on Instagram, please do! I’m so thankful for each and every one of you, and your support allows me to keep doing what I do. Plus, Instagram is a good way to keep up with all my new blog posts and get exclusive brand updates. If you don’t have an Instagram or you don’t see 95% my posts (thanks, algorithm), here’s everything you missed!
Lilly Pulitzer wine glasses are the best wine glasses. My BFF bought me these for my birthday a few years ago when the Lilly for Target collection was released, and they’re (somehow) still available on Amazon! Shop these on Diary of a Debutante via my Columbia Apartment Tour or by clicking here.
I get why Forest Park in St. Louis is famous, y’all. It’s STUNNING! Kyle and I explored the area a bit before our flight to Colorado, and I wore this casual ensemble, which features my absolute favorite affordable find from the Nordstrom Sale– this pink tie front blouse. Shop this outfit on Diary of a Debutante or via LiketoKnow. It by clicking here.
I had the BEST time at Les Bourgeois Winery with Kyle a few weekends ago! This darling floral fit-and-flare dress is up on Diary of a Debutante (along with a full wine tasting style guide) or you can shop it via LiketoKnow. It by clicking here!
Am I the only one who wants to hide my hair under a hat (or behind a gorgeous bouquet of big white hydrangeas) when my roots start to show? It’s SUPER frustrating, especially when you’re already spending $100+ per month at the hair salon. To cope and save money in between salon visits, I’ve tried over a dozen different temporary root concealers over the past few years, and I’m sharing two go-to products (my favorite spray root concealer and touch-up magnetic powder) here!
Channeling my Florida roots in this adorable flamingo top! It’s been out of stock for what felt like years, and it’s finally available again in all sizes for under $60! Shop this look on Diary of a Debutante or via LiketoKnow. It by clicking here.
Sunday Funday cocktails, anyone? Kyle and I just moved apartments for the LAST time for at least one year this week (praise God), and this bar cart was the last thing packed and the first thing unpacked. Gotta keep the de-stressing essentials handy, am I right? In case you missed it, there’s a tour of our temporary Columbia apartment on Diary of a Debutante. If you need furniture rental ideas or decor tips for a short-term lease (or you just want some colorful design inspo), check it out!
Super excited for tonight’s episode of The Gong Show! Jennifer Aniston (my all-time fave), Jack Black, and Will Arnett are the celebrity judges this week, and it’s gonna be a hoot. If you haven’t seen the show at all yet, you can watch all the latest episodes here!
The comfiest (and downright cutest) crop top and shorts set I’ve ever owned! I’ve been getting so much use out of it in this crazy midwestern summer heat, too. Oh, and did I mention it’s $18?! Ya, not a joke. Shop this outfit on Diary of a Debutante or via LiketoKnow. It by clicking here.
Bloom where you’re planted! This breezy maxi dress and its tiered, twirl-worthy chiffon skirt officially make me feel like a princess. Grab this dress while it’s currently on sale for $65 (30% off!) and available in all sizes on Diary of a Debutante or via LiketoKnow. It by clicking here! I’m wearing an XS, and it’s true-to-size!
Ironing is in my top 3 LEAST favorite things to do, especially while traveling. I always end up burning myself, and I usually end up ruining a very visible portion of the fabric, too. I’m SUPER excited to have finally found the ultimate wardrobe hack– Downy Wrinkle Releaser Plus. It’s an easy-to-use wrinkle spray that reducing wrinkles, eliminates odor, removes static, and helps keep your clothes looking neat/clean/wrinkle-free without the hassle of ironing or steaming. Literally, all you have to do is spray, tug, smooth, and hang. It’s a huge time AND energy saver while traveling… and considering I just ruined an expensive dress with an old hotel iron last month, I will never leave the house without it again.
Even when I’m far from home, you can still find me beneath the palm trees. Kyle and I ran off to St. Louis for a fun project this weekend, and I can’t even begin to gush about how stunning the Chase Park Plaza hotel (and virtually all of Forest Park) is. So gorgeous and so green! Also, I found the most perfect dress for impromptu summer vacations, and it’s under $15! I’m wearing an XS, and it’s still pretty big… so size down! Shop this look on Diary of a Debutante or via LiketoKnow. It by clicking here.
Not spending time in New England this summer is SO sad, but I realized an awesome local florist is located about a block away from my apartment… so I still have access to gorgeous hydrangeas on the reg. Crisis averted! Also, we had a REALLY incredible view of the Solar Eclipse, so that was awesome, too. Shop my favorite coffee table books via LiketoKnow. It by clicking here.
I love tops that can easily transition from summer to fall, and this tie front bow top fits the bill PERFECTLY! It looks just as adorable with white jeans shorts as it does with black skinny jeans and boots, and I’m obsessed. Oh, and it comes in a blue striped pattern and a gorgeous crisp white, too! Shop this look on Diary of a Debutante or via LiketoKnow. It by clicking here.
Happy birthday to this tall drink of water– Kyle Eschenroeder!
Life in Lilly! Who weathered the 2-hour queue line to shop the Lilly Pulitzer August After Party Sale this morning!? Gotta say… super frustrating but totally worth it in the end. For a recap of the sale, click here.
Oily hair? Don’t care! In case you missed it, I’m talking about how I add volume to second-day hair (and sharing the details on this $13 palm print shift dress) on Diary of a Debutante!
I love adding fun pops of color to my day-to-day makeup looks with essence’s Metal Shock Lipsticks (Guns ‘N Rose and Pink Metallica are my faves)! These metallic lipstick swatches, along with some of my other fall makeup faves, are up on Diary of a Debutante now! PS- Use code STEPHANIE20 to get 20% off here.
