If there’s one thing I’m not super great at (excluding domestic skills), it’s remembering to get my hair cut every 6-8 weeks. My last haircut was in April, and my phone loudly reminded me I was due for a visit a few days ago. I was hanging out in Clearwater today, so I stopped by their Largo location on a whim for a new hairstyle. Joe gave me a much-needed trim, some long layers, and a fabulous blowout that I’ll try to milk for the next 24 hours. The before is much prettier than the after, so I’ve shown it first. Keep scrolling for more information about my favorite budget-friendly hair salon and, of course, for post-Independence Day outfit details, including the low down on this fabulous striped off the shoulder top.
Hair Cuttery is the largest family owned and operated chain of hair salons in the country, with nearly 900 company-owned locations on the East Coast, Midwest, and the New England area. As a full-service, value-priced salon, Hair Cuttery offers a full complement of cuts and styling, coloring, waxing, and texturizing services with no appointment necessary, as well as a full line of professional hair care products. I have long hair, so my entire shampoo/cut/style costed $35– however, if your hair meets their shorter length standard, you can get in and out with a fresh new hairstyle for $25. Can’t beat that, y’all! If you want to jump on that budget-friendly train, too, you can find your closest salon here.
When you have a good hair day (thank again, Joe!), photos are mandatory, right? I didn’t get a chance to get an official 4th of July style post up this year, so this striped off the shoulder top from Banana Republic is my pathetic attempt at displaying tardy patriotism. It’s made of soft cotton with added stretch, so it’s super comfortable, and the smocked neckline makes for fun off the shoulder styling. I think big necklaces look funny on me, so I opted for big earrings and a sparkly pendant necklace, although you could totally rock the heck out of a silver or gold statement necklace, like Kendra Scott’s Kaplan.
PS- Please don’t judge my obsessive collection of Kendra Scott jewelry. It’s just so classic, and I love all the philanthropic work that the company does.
Shop the Look: Off the Shoulder Top: Banana Republic, $78 | White Jeans: Express, $80 | Wedges: Target, $33 | Clutch: Talbots (No Longer Available, Similar Here), $33 (on sale) | Earrings: Kendra Scott, $65 | Necklace: Kendra Scott, $65 | Bangles: Kendra Scott, $90
In conclusion, Happy Birthday, America! Oh, and remember, if you’re looking for a new look on a dime, pop into your local Hair Cuttery to see what they’ve got going on! I was shocked by how talented my stylist was, and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone on or off a budget. Don’t forget– they do blowouts, too, so even if you’re hesitant to cut any length off, they can still style your hair for much less than a boutique blowout bar. Happy weekend, y’all! Enjoy it!
I have received promotional consideration and a free salon service from Hair Cuttery. I also received promotional consideration from Banana Republic. Thank you, Hair Cuttery and Banana Republic, for sponsoring this post.
