Two of my favorite things in life are color and ice cream. When they’re combined, I’m drawn to the hybrid like a moth to a flame. I flew to Florida for an early birthday trip, and I forgot how gosh darn hot it yet in the summer. Seriously, at any given point throughout the day, it can feel like you’re sitting in a sauna against your will. I found My/Mo Mochi Ice Cream at the grocery store, and I ripped open the box for a temporary reprieve from the heat. I’m obsessed. Each serving is only 110 calories, and and it’s one of the only low calorie summer snacks that actually satiates my hunger and sweet tooth at the same time. Plus, all the best mochi flavors (strawberry, mango, and green tea) match my summer wardrobe. Lilly Pulitzer would approve!

So, what is My/Mo Mochi Ice Cream exactly? It’s a delicious/colorful/portable low calorie snack made from Japanese mochi (pounded sticky rice) and ice cream filling. Essentially, it’s a small round confection, so it looks similar to a macaron, but the taste couldn’t be more different. Head down to the bottom of this post for full outfit details, plus more info on where you can find mochi ice cream online!

Everyone’s tastebuds are different, but I think the best mochi flavor is strawberry. It’s so gosh darn refreshing, especially in the summer. Mango and green tea are close seconds, though! Click here to check out all the flavors!
