Contrary to what most people (specifically Kyle and my brothers) think, I don’t own that many clothes. Truthfully, after six moves in two(ish) years, I either lost, sold, or donated about two-thirds of my wardrobe. The goods news is that I’m a big believer in wearing what you have, and it’s impossible to do so when your closet is so packed you can’t actually find anything, so I guess it all worked out in the end. That being said, when I find something I absolutely love, I buy it in as many colors as I can. Case in point, this cable knit turtleneck sweater.
I started off with classic black and off white and then sprung for the camel a few weeks ago. It’s under $40 (and currently 10% off!), ridiculously soft, and can be worn a handful of different ways. I ordered mediums because I can’t stand tight sweaters, and I love that I can wear whatever thermal layers I want underneath without it looking bulky. Keep reading for three different ways to wear this crazy versatile cable knit turtleneck sweater!
1. Pair it with a vest.
If you need a little extra warmth on those cold-but-not-freezing days, pair yours with a cute padded vest like this one!

2. Layer it under your coat.
Probably my favorite thing about this cable knit turtleneck sweater is that it looks great under just about any coat. Whether you’re going monochromatic (like me) or mixing and matching winter tones, it’s the world’s most versatile thermal base layer.

3. Tuck it into jeans.
Going casual? Tuck this cable knit turtleneck sweater into a skirt, dressy shorts, or jeans (and tie it all together with a cute belt like this one) for a chic night out. This pairing would also make a great first date outfit, too!

So, yeah… I wasn’t kidding when I said I’ve been wearing this cable knit turtleneck sweater on repeat. Just for fun, you can also see it styled in off white with some fun pops of pink here. Oh, and stay tuned for some fun Valentine’s and Galentine’s posts in the next few days!

I have knit a few sweaters just like the one you have pictured.
I have been looking to knit up a like pink blush color one but can not find the right color or yarn.
They are great as they look great dressed with a pair of jeans or a skirt.
That’s so awesome, Maureen! I’d absolutely love to learn to knit one day!
