In Florida, Winter typically goes out the window in February. This year the weather gods couldn’t even have predicted the unprecedented inconsistency in our climate. Freezing one day, hot and humid the next. It’s literally impossible to plan outfits when you could potentially be dressing for one of seven scenarios.
Well, it’s safe to say spring has officially sprung the Sunshine State! For me and my friends, that means it’s boat season, which translates to: all about the nautical. This ridiculously adorable Center Stage dress I received from Flourish Boutique was the perfect addition to my bright seasonal, in addition to year-round, wardrobe. Oh, and is has pockets. I love pockets. You can store, like, so many neat things in them. Plus, versatility is my best friend, and I would wear this anywhere from the farmers market to an evening yacht party.
I accessorized my trendy striped dress with a coral statement bubble necklace, gold/pearl jewelry, wedges, and a fabulous gold canvas Vineyard Vines clutch that my real life and blogger BFF, Ashley Brooke, gave me years ago. I love finding hidden classics in my closet.
Oh, and in case you couldn’t tell, I kind of dyed my hair blonde. It’s still got my natural dark brown color in it, but my designated “pageant mom” and beloved sponsor, Jeanette from Paris Studio Salon in Maitland, FL, highlighted essentially my entire head to give the lighter hair some dimension. It took me a while, but I love it. Blonde and pageant-ready Stephanie (such a poet) is alive and kickin’!

Who else loves nautical nonsense? Also, someone buy me a boat. Kthx.

Navy is one of my favorite colors to wear, so I am in love with this dress. It really does make me think of spring. And the coral pop you added is a nice touch!
I love navy, too. In fact, I think I may have a slight bit of an obsession– I color code my closet (OCD, yes), and literally more than half is dark blue. Glad you love the dress as much as I do! 🙂
