My boyfriend and I are spending the winter in Maine, and we’re fortunate enough to be staying in the loft of a gorgeous farmhouse perched on a spacious piece of rural New England property, which also happens to harbor a giant patch of rich green Christmas trees. So naturally, this year we got to experience the ancestral art of chopping down our own Christmas tree. Translation: I got to watch Kyle get on the ground and struggle with an axe until the tree toppled over. The temperatures have dropped quite a bit over the past few days, so I bundled up in the most festive ensemble I could find. This quilted red jacket from Crown & Ivy is super comfy and comes in six other colors. It’s an easy layer to throw on and head out into the cold, and you can’t beat the price.
My other favorite outfit highlight is my festive FaLa Wreath Intarsia Sweater, which is perfect for holiday parties! Its glittery design is super fun and a guaranteed conversation piece. For more non-ugly Christmas sweaters, check out Crown & Ivy’s adorable winter line here. I’ve got my eye on a few others as well, particularly this FaLaLa Intarsia Sweater. Seriously, how fun are these sequined wreaths? This pattern makes for the perfect non-ugly Christmas sweater. It’s surprisingly warm, too, which is good– considering it was 30 degrees and windy outside. I could only last for a few pictures until the quilted red jacket had to go back on.
Shop the Look: Quilted Red Jacket: Crown & Ivy, $66 (on sale)| Wreath Sweater: Crown & Ivy, $45 (on sale)| Oxford: J.Crew Factory, $25 (on sale)| Jeans: Target, $30| Boots: Hunter, $113 (on sale)
Have you gotten your Christmas Tree yet? Mine currently has two ornaments on it– still got quite a bit of work to do! Wish me luck!
