I just got back from an incredible trip to Los Angeles with two of my bffs (full recap to come), and I learned that the one and only downside to traveling with your most fashionable friends is that you run out of cute clean clothes way faster than expected. On day 5 of 6, we were planning to meet up with some LA blogger babes at a trendy restaurant called Jgelina in Venice Beach, and I had nothing warm enough to wear in the surprisingly freezing Cali weather. I swear Cali’s winter storm winds rival the intensity of a Category 1 or 2 hurricane in Central Florida. To avoid freezing to death, we found the nearest Forever 21, and I styled this entire outfit for under $50. Although hair bows are typically synonymous with elementary school dress codes, a well-placed ribbon or bow can be more than appropriate in any young professional’s wardrobe. Make sure the color is neutral, like this rose quartz satin fabric, and stay conservative with your styling. Don’t expect a hyper-teased up do to look great with a statement bow; it’ll just be too much for one head of professional hair. Full outfit details– pink hair bow included— are listed at the bottom of this post.

I know I should probably be watching the Super Bowl, but I’m watching SVU re-runs instead. Good luck to your teams!
