For the first time in way too long, I decided to take a few days off and regroup from a crazy hectic holiday season. Thanks for sticking with me through the brief hiatus! Although I wish it could’ve lasted a few days (or weeks) longer, I’m happy, invigorated, and excited to be back on track for 2017. What did I do with the time off? I got to hang out with my family and friends in Orlando for a few days! Because of the tropical climate that I’ve missed so dearly, I decided to pair this cozy hot pink crewneck sweater from J.Crew Factory with a black suede miniskirt form SheIn, which also comes in khaki. Please excuse the horrific paleness of my legs; they haven’t seen sunlight in over three months. Now that I’m back in Maine, I probably can’t get any use out of a short miniskirt, but I see this hot pink crewneck sweater becoming a wardrobe staple with Valentine’s Day right around the corner. It’s the perfect pop of pink, but it’s not too immature or bold to wear it year-round with jeans or colored slacks.
This outfit is extra special, too, because the majority of these items were actually Christmas gifts from all my favorite people. This hot pink crewneck sweater was a gift from my gorgeous mama, and these stunning BaubleBar piñata earrings were from Ashley Brooke. This gorgeous leopard clutch, which retails for $245, was a gift from myself to myself, but you can find a more affordable (and equally chic) design from Sole Society here. Head to the bottom of this post for full outfit details, including a Daniel Wellington discount code.
