Charleston is one of my all-time favorite spots to visit, and I was lucky enough to spend a few solid days there with some of my favorite blogger besties during the The Blog Societies Conference last weekend. After an overwhelming mirage of information-packed seminars and presentations, all of which resulted in the feeling of “Oh crap, I need to get my life together,” I was more than ready for a Girls Night Out done Charleston style, so we headed to Stars Rooftop and Grill Room for some cocktails. Standing out in this stylish southern city is no easy feat, so I put my faith in an adorable summer shift dress from Lilly Pulitzer, paired with an affordable, GiGi New York-dupe-of-a-clutch, and entrusted in the amazing team in the L’Oreal Glam Suite to make sure my makeup and hair looked presentable.
Keep scrolling to the bottom of this post for full outfit details, and while I continue working on a completed recap of TBSCon 2016, click here to read about some Charleston recommendations from my recent rundown of the ultimate southern road trip.
I mentioned earlier that this clutch is an easy GiGi New York dupe, and I really wasn’t kidding. Aside from the fact that this Sammy & Libby bag looks identical to their embossed python material, it converts to a chic crossbody bag and costs under $30 from Target.
Shop the Look: Summer Shift Dress: Lilly Pulitzer, $198 | Clutch: Sam & Libby, $29.99 | Heels: Vince Camuto (Similar Style + On Sale), $77 | Earrings: Kendra Scott, $65 | Bracelets: Kendra Scott Color Bar, $80 | Ring: Kendra Scott, $65
The idea of not living in the south is still a bit depressing, but I’ve gotta tell y’all– I’ve been in Maine for about a week now, and it’s really hard to compete with this undeniable New England charm. Everything looks over a hundred years old, but just about every photo frame looks like a post card. More photos and outfits to come shortly!
