How in the world is the Southern Blog Conference already over? It seems like Ashley Brooke and I blinked and were already on our way back home. I’m super excited to share my experience in historic downtown Charleston, aka the most charming geographical gem of the south, later this week, and I don’t think I could’ve asked for a more inspiring birthday weekend. To kick start my newfound sense of living colorfully without limitation, I wanted to share my outfit for the Swoozies kick-off cocktail party on Friday evening at The Belmond Charleston Place hotel. I took one look at the Lilly Pulitzer Pearl Shift Dress, which was hanging in the storefront window, and immediately reached for my wallet.
Not only is the Red Right Return print super fun, the cut of the Lilly Pulitzer Pearl Shift Dress is incredibly flattering for anyone with no curves like me. I never have cleavage… like ever, but it looked pretty dang present in this dress. Thanks, Lilly, for always having my curve-deprived back! Full outfit details at the bottom of the post.
Oh, and this clutch.is.everything, especially for a girls party weekend in the heart of the south! Southern girls love pineapples; it’s just the way it is. Talbots rose to the occasion and designed this adorable wicker pineapple clutch– and I’m obsessed.

Anyways, we had an absolutely wonderful time in Charleston. It’s always so wonderful networking with like-minded women in your industry. I just wish Ashley and I had a little more time to explore! In case you’re considering attending SBSCon for yourself, check out this Southern Blog Society Conference recap before you go!
PS- Kyle and I went back and visited Charleston as part of the ultimate southern road trip! We drove from Tampa to Charleston to Asheville to Hamer to Savannah and then back to Tampa in one week. Check out this article for additional food and lodging recommendations!
Such a fun Lilly print!
