In my line of work, there’s a very thin faded line between professional and hussy. I’ve made it my life’s personal mission to never fall into the latter category, so even when I want to look cute or stand out, I still have to make sure I’m uncompromisingly covered and classy. I’ve become such a huge fan of bandage dresses over the past few years because they provide a sexy feminine silhouette without any unnecessary skin showing. You’re cute, comfy, and covered all in one, and they’re staple classics for even the most discerning of wardrobes. Since Hervé Léger is just a teensy bit out of my every day officewear price range, I’ve developed a full-blown obsession with The Kewl Shop and their near identical renditions of the classic, multi-thousand-dollar bandage dresses.
I saw this dark blue long sleeve bandage dress on their website, and I knew it had “professional Stephanie” written all over it. It was the perfect fashion statement for one of our investment dinners, and I definitely got noticed… for the right reasons (aka classiness not trashiness). Paired with my go-to black trench coat and burgundy pumps, this dress was money— see what I did there? Full outfit details at the bottom of this post.
