My closet is color-coded, and the black (and pink) section virtually overwhelms the rest of the wearable rainbow. I’m from Florida, so I love bright colors and fun prints; I just don’t think you can ever have too many classic LBBs– aka little black blouses, especially if you work in an ostentatious industry (cough*finance*cough) or if you’re a diehard UCF fan who bleeds black and gold. I found this Michael Kors black tie-neck top on a routine scouting venture at TJ Maxx, and it had date night, work chic, and Go Knights written all over it. Its cut is extremely flattering, and I have yet to find a pair of bottoms it doesn’t go well with. It can be dressed up with a skirt or black pants or dressed down with light wash jeans like the ones I’m wearing. The only downside to this versatile tie-neck top is that it’s out of stock at all major retailers, so I’ve linked a similar Michael Kors tassel design here. I’ve also linked full outfit details for the rest of the ensemble at the bottom of this post.
