October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month:
Power of Pink Giveaway!

Did you know 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime? Scary stuff. Well, there’s no better time to think pink than now… because October is the official National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (NBCAM)!

 

 

NBCAM, established over 25 years ago, is essentially a collaboration of various non-profit groups, medical associations, and government organizations working toward a common goal of promoting awareness, providing resourceful information, and empowering women to take control of their breast health. So get involved! Simply donning a pink ribbon in your hair helps spread the word (and enables you to look adorable while doing it). Pick up a “Save the Tatas” bracelet for $1 or a “Fight Like a Girl” shirt for $15. Participate in the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk in your area. I do this 5K every year with a group of friends; it’s completely free to walk and is a total blast– such an amazing thing to see a crowd of 25,000+ people, all in pink, walking and running (ew—you overachievers) for a common cause.

    What a great post! My favorite item would probably be the Bobbi Brown blush and the Little Pink Bag from Bloomindale's, but all of the products are lovely! Who could turn down cute pink packaging?

    I always love seeing the breast cancer awareness merchandise when it hits stores. My mother-in-law lost her battle with breast cancer, while my grandma is a breast cancer survivor. Such a great "thing" to support.
