My mama always told me less is more, and finally as a 25-year-old, I adamantly agree. Different times and occasions call for heavier makeup, but in my everyday life, I love showing off my natural beauty. This wasn’t always the case. I was that preteen who caked on foundation and painted on eyeliner for days… to go to the grocery store. My mom would tell me to take if off, I’d pout and go to the bathroom, come right out, and claim I had wiped it off when I clearly hadn’t. Oh, 13. You were a fun age.
Plus, this natural beauty makeup tutorial significantly decreases your morning prep time, which is always a plus. Hello, extra ten minutes of sleep. Here are my best makeup tips for achieving a dewy, fresh, and radiantly natural look time after time using only products available at Walgreens:
For nourishing and long-lasting makeup, I use with Neutrogena Long Wear Makeup in Natural Beige. It feels light while still providing full coverage. If you’re not a fan of foundation, apply tinted moisturizer instead. Whatever gets the job done! If you’re having a particularly bad skin day, apply additional concealer to all blemishes and around your eyes.
Use white liner or shadow on the inside corner and underneath your eyes to make them appear bigger and brighter. I tend to prefer shadow, since it’s easier to blend if necessary. Wet n Wild’s Color Icon Collection Eye Shadow Trio is amazing, and the Brow Bone shade enhances any eye color flawlessly. Did I mention it’s $2.99? Ya, it is. I know.
Curl your lashes, and yes, do it before you apply mascara. It makes a huge difference. I use my CoverGirl Make-Up Masters Lash Curler to create high impact and dramatically gorgeous lashes every time.
Now apply one layer of mascara. If you need more, add more– but remember you’re trying to look natural. The purpose of the eyelash curling is to dramatize your lashes, so the mascara should really just be an exaggeration of what the curler has already done. Have I mentioned I’m a fan of Jordana? Jordana’s Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara in black is hands down my favorite mascara. Ever. Of all mascaras on the market. The formula is powerful, long-lasting, and doesn’t clump… and it’s under $3.50.
Last but not least, line your lips and apply a neutral sheer lip color. I go for Jordana’s Easyliner Retractable Lip Pencil in Baby Berry and Revlon’s ColorBurst Lip Butter in Sugar Frosting. Not only does this amazing line of lip butters contain super charged hydration, but this liner/butter combo is unstoppable in producing a semi-matte finish that lasts hours upon hours.
Great tutorial Stephanie and I agree less is more you look flawless either way.

Thanks, lady! I just have so much higher of an appreciation for natural beauty than stage makeup. Blah. Hope you're having a great weekend!!! 🙂
Great tutorial Stephanie. I always wear natural makeup.
Same here! Glad you enjoyed it. Happy Saturday! 🙂
You look beautiful!
Everytime I sit down to do my makeup I tell myself I'm going to go for a natural look, but I always get carried away by all of the pretty makeup and don a full face.
I'm determined to find a natural look that works for me.
Thanks for sharing!
I love the lip combo!
xo
Thanks, Lily! Do one! Lord knows you're gorgeous enough to make it work!!!
Less is MORE and you made it EASY!! thanks for the step by step-you are glowing
Thanks, lady! I'm so glad you liked it. Have a great weekend!
I haven't heard of Jordana makeup. I will look for it next time I'm in Walgreens. Now I think I need to break out ye olde eyelash curler.
I sometimes forget about mine, and when I start using it again, I kick myself for forgetting about it in the first place. Curling lashes makes an AMAZING difference! It's nuts!
Great tutorial. I always reach for nude and natural colors. No need to look like a clown . 🙂
Amen to that! 🙂
I love the natural look so I agree, less is more. Glad the days of bright blue eye shadow are gone 🙂
Right!? No more orange blush and green liner either!
Mascara and lip gloss is 2 of my favorite products for natural beauty!
Agreed! They both make a huge yet subtle difference!
Great post! I agree, less is more for an everyday look.
Thanks, lady! Happy Saturday!
You look Lovely and great tips for organizing the party!
Have a great day.

Thank you! So glad you stopped by. Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy the Oscars!!!
That mascara sounds amazing! I have my favorites but am always open that there's something out there even better. And cheaper! #client
It's too cheap to not give it a try! I was solddd on Dior's mascara, but after discovering Jordana, I refuse to pay $30+ for any eye products! No exceptions! 🙂
Gorgeous! I love the natural look and you are beautiful!
Aw, thank you! Made my day! Have a great weekend!
