The countdown is on– Kyle and I have less than a week left in Maine. Although I’m super bummed to leave, I’m excited to be reunited with my closet again. A consistently positive temperature will also be nice given all the evenings we’ve spent bundled in blankets. All jokes (and griping) aside, one of the most valuable bonuses of extending our stay through the winter has been mastering the art of styling the same garments for different occasions. I’ve become such a brat with my closet over the last few years, and in the past, I’ve purchased a “seasonal” item, worn it twice, and hidden it in between two more popular garments in my walk-in closet. No more. It’s wasteful, and if I can afford to cram a $60 Christmas sweater in an invisible nook or cranny, I can afford to donate it.
The point of all this is that I’m making it a priority to only invest in staple garments that I can wear/style/enjoy year-round, like this navy jacquard poncho. Head down to the bottom of this post for full outfit details, including a Daniel Wellington discount code that expires at the end of the month! You can click here to see this same navy jacquard poncho styled with a nifty pair of dark wash flare jeans, too.
