In case you haven’t checked their site in a while, J.Crew Factory is a goldmine for affordable spring finds. Their store is pretty much always 40-50% off, and in my experience, the quality is more than comparable to the full-priced J.Crew line. Unfortunately, we’re in the single digits here in Columbia right now, but I’m headed to Florida for a work project on Thursday, and I can’t wait to actually get some real wear out of these gems. In fact, I’ll be updating this page with more preppy spring outfits as I’m able to wear/style them comfortably (ie not in arctic weather), so be on the lookout! In the meantime, though, I’m rounding up a few of my spring style picks from J.Crew Factory in today’s post.
This darling Sidewalk Scalloped Skirt is under $50 and features the sweetest scalloped hemline for spring. It also features an elastic waistband, so the fit is relaxed and comfy, and deep, on-seam pockets! Plus, it comes in 6 classic spring colors. Again, it’s freezing here right now, so I styled mine with a chunky turtleneck sweater and light pink peacoat, but it would also look great paired with casual tanks, cotton tees, and/or dressier work tops. As far as sizing goes, definitely size down. I’m normally a 0 or 2, and the 00 is even a little spacious.
If you’ve been following me for any length of time, you know I’m a sucker for pink. This coat isn’t from J.Crew Factory, but it is one of my favorite winter coats of all time. Just like the 2016 Pantone Color(s) of the Year showed, its light pink hue pairs so well with virtually anything blue or white. Plus, it helps keep me in a “spring state of mine” even when it’s 1 degree outside.
This scalloped cami top is an absolute must-have for spring and summer. So many camisoles are either poorly made or straight up see-through, and this little gem is well constructed, completely opaque, and lined. Plus, it’s more than long enough to fit my gangly torso. I’ve purchased 2 already (Mediterranean Coast and Marine Salt in Size 2), and I’ve got the Wild Fuchsia and Villa Green in my shopping cart. I can literally see myself living in these in the warmer weather, and I can’t wait. Until then, though, they look great styled underneath tailored jackets and blazers, like this pink one, for work!
