Twirling is so much more fun when you’ve got a fit-and-flare silhouette to work with. The weather in Central Florida has been downright gorgeous over the past few weeks, so I recently styled this adorable Polo Ralph Lauren polo shirtdress from Lord and Taylor for a day at the polo field in The Villages– and I spent half the time playing with my skirt. To be fair, the wind was blowing just strongly enough to facilitate optimal dress movement, so I really shouldn’t be judged. My new favorite poplin shirtdress features a crisp contrasting collar and waist-defining belt with a genuine mother-of-pearl buckle for the ultimate, polished, Audrey Hepburn-esque look. I paired the pretty light blue fabric, which is perfect for spring, with red heels, my go-to statement bag, and bold crimson lips courtesy of MAC Ruby Woo. Ralph Lauren’s garments are the definition of versatile, so really any bold pop of color, even white, would serve as a compliment to this polo shirtdress.
