Our weather right now is nothing short of unpredictable. The only predictable thing we know is that it’s going to be cold. Very very cold. Tights can cover cold legs, but I’ve had trouble finding classy shirt under dress combos that don’t look dingy or frumpy. My problem was officially solved by this Lauren James ensemble. As much as I love the way this chiffon top looks underneath Lauren James’ Austen Dress, I also love that each garment can be worn separately to create entirely different looks– looks that can be worn for work and play. That kind of versatility is key (and quite frankly necessary) whenever I’m making purchases over $100, which, if you’ve been a longtime reader, you know doesn’t happen often.
Even though I styled the Margo Top underneath, a regular white, light pink, or light blue collared shirt would look equally chic. You could also try a neutral polka dot blouse for a Kate Spade-inspired look! This versatile LBD is a closet staple if you catch my drift, and it’s one of my favorite purchases of 2018. I’m such a fan that they gave me a discount code to give to y’all, too. Use code STEPHANIEZ15 to get 15% off through January 1st! Also, head down to the bottom of this post for full outfit details!
