“Hey, are you getting married?” No. “Why are you in a wedding dress?” Because I like white, lace, and promoting a positive body image. Last month a handful of Orlando bloggers and I got together for a truly special collaboration with Solutions Bridal for their #SBRealWoman project. Spoiler alert to 99% of world-renown bridal designers: not just 5’10” stick-figured supermodels will ever step into a wedding dress. Real women of all shapes and sizes want to enjoy their day and look, feel, and be just as fabulous. Solutions Bridal recruited a diversified spread of local ladies, ranging from 100 pounds to… more pounds and 5′ to… just taller, to help make their wonderful vision come to fruition.

I’m so honored to have been asked to participate, and I hope y’all enjoy these drop dead gorgeous images from Gian Carlo Photography. Others credits include Solutions Bridal, Ulla-Maija | Anna Maier Couture, videography by Seltzer Films,  hair and makeup by Makeover Station, shoes and clutches by Carmen Steffens, and styling by the incredibly talented Roberta Noronha. Videography and full photoshoot details at the bottom of this post.

Oh, and Seltzer Films shot and produced this amazing video highlighting some of the most fun and equally special moments of the #SBRealWoman photoshoot. I may or may not have watched it approximately 35038 times already.

This was truly a day and project to remember. Real women apparently do make the best brides… just look at some of the other bloggers involved in this project!

This shoot is absolutely beautiful! It makes me wish I were a bride right now. It is so important for girls to feel comfortable in their own skin, especially when shopping for the dress for their special day.

OMG! I love everything about this! The dress is stunning on you and I love the message! I’m like 4’11 and 100 pounds and will never be super model tall so I obviously love the message! And an excuse to try on wedding dresses?! Yes please!

I don’t ever want to get married but I’m obsessed with bridal fashion/hair. Weird, right? These are such beautiful photographs and good for you for getting involved with such a good cause!

This seems like such a fun project to be apart of. You look stunning in that dress, if you ever decide to get married you’ll be a beautiful bride!

I love all of these campaigns with actual, non-model women! Models are great, but I imagine it’s hard for a future bride to see herself in a dress worn by someone opposite her body type. The photots (and video) are beautiful, and you all wear the dresses so well!

I’m already married so there’s no bridal plans for me.
I do looking at formals and wedding dresses though. That one is super pretty.

This is such an awesome campaign! Love that you can see what wedding dresses will actually look like on many different body types. You look stunning/are making me want to get married!
