I’ve been against the whole faux fur vest trend for quite a while. Every time I studied one up close, it was either cheap looking or outrageously expensive and cheap looking. I magically found this particular style at Target on Black Friday, and I fell in love with both the feel of the fabric and its rich color. It’s super cozy, versatile, and surprisingly not too warm for Florida’s tropical climate. Unfortunately, this exact style isn’t available anymore, but you can find a similarly priced, nearly identical faux fur vest from Old Navy in two colors here. I styled my fuzzy faux fur vest with a neutral sage turtleneck, light wash jeans, and my go-to tall brown boots. This particular look was styled for a lunch date with Ashley Brooke and Mash Elle at Oxford Exchange in downtown Tampa, and I love its casual holiday vibe. Full outfit details are linked at the bottom of this post.
These tall brown boots are originally from Nine West, but they’ve unfortunately been sold out for months. I have them in black, too, and I’ll be honest– I’ve yet to find such a value since this purchase. They do periodically release similar styles, though, so check back every few weeks for new additions. Tory Burch makes a similar pair, too, but there’s usually a few extra hundred dollars tacked on to the price tag for the same style with a tiny gold TB logo.

Are you for or against the faux fur vest trend? I’ve been on both sides of the street, so I’m curious what the general consensus is! Have a great day, y’all!
