Target is my happy place. Season after season, they never disappoint in the fashion or beauty department. This spring was no different, which is fortunate because winter can’t decide if it’s coming or going, and I don’t think I’ve never needed a seasonal refresh more than right now. With all the crazy transitional weather, my skin and hair don’t know what to do, and I just feel blah. Fortunately, I just picked up some incredible spring style and beauty tools from Unilever and Target, and I wanted to share all my favorite finds with y’all in today’s post. Keep reading to see everything I picked up in my Target Spring Shopping Haul!
Spring Beauty Picks
Before diving in, I wanted to let y’all know about a special promo Target’s running beforehand! Now through May 4th, if you buy 4 qualifying hair or personal care products from Unilever, you’ll get a $5 Target Gift Card. If miss that promo and spend $20 on select products anytime from May 5th to May 18th, you’ll also get a $5 Gift Card. Just in case you need some spring beauty product recommendations, here’s what I picked up in my Target Spring Shopping Haul: Dove Body Polish, TRESemme Keratin Smooth Shampoo and Conditioner, St. Ives Apricot Scrub, and Vaseline Cocoa Radiant Lotion.
St. Ives Apricot Scrub and Vaseline Cocoa Radiant have been “holy grail” products of mine for years, but TRESemme Keratin Smooth and Dove Body Polish are two brand new beauty finds. They’re perfect for counteracting dry skin and frizzy hair, which are always two of my biggest beauty concerns. Keep an eye out for them next time you’re in the hair and personal care aisles at Target!
Also, no spring refresh is complete without a fun new wardrobe, right? Here are a few of my top spring fashion finds from Target–
How cute is this V-Neck Button Front Jumpsuit? I bought it for a spring wedding, but the fabric is light and breathable enough to wear well into summer. As usual, I love that it has a tie belt, which can either be tied on the side or in a cute center bow, to help define my waist. I styled mine with these new blush espadrilles and basket crossbody bag, but you could easily dress it down with flats and a denim jacket, too.
The only would-be downside is that it’s sleeveless, and my arms are still dry and ashy from all the weird weather we’ve been having. If you’re in a similar skincare boat, try Dove Body Polish. It’s a new nourishing body scrub that exfoliates your skin and smells like heaven. I couldn’t choose which scent I liked more, so picked up both the Crushed Macadamia and Rice Milk and Pomegranate Seeds and Shea Butter.
The pattern is what sold me on this Yellow Striped Short Sleeve Shirtdress. The sweet shade of yellow is perfect for spring, and I love how easily this dress can be dressed up for work. I paired mine with these super comfy espadrille slide sandals, which look ridiculous cute with just about any spring or summer outfit (you can also see them styled here), and this fun basket crossbody bag.
Also, I really wanted to try an Audrey Hepburn-inspired headband hairstyle with this dress, but my thick oily hair never wants to cooperate. Surprisingly, even with oily Italian hair, frizz and fly-aways are two of my main spring hair hurdles, so this year I picked up TRESemme Keratin Smooth Shampoo and Conditioner to help whip it into shape. Both products are formulated with Marula Oil, which helps fight frizz, tame fly-aways, and enhance softness and shine. I’ve been using this duo for over a week now, and I’ve gotta say… it’s really nice to see my hair behaving for a change.
Last but not least, I can’t get enough of the flowy silhouette of this blue striped U-Neck Tiered Midi Dress. Not only is the cotton fabric breathable and comfy, the tiered design creates extra movement that literally moves with you. It’s such a relaxed, vacation-ready style, and I love how cute it looks paired with these espadrille slide sandals and basket crossbody bag.
Speaking of vacations, I’m a born-and-raised Floridian, and St. Ives Apricot Scrub and Vaseline Cocoa Butter Lotion have been two of my “holy grail” beauty products since middle school. I love how Vaseline Cocoa Radiant moisturizes even the driest, most sunburnt skin without leaving behind a greasy residue. I also love how my face feels after using St. Ives Apricot Scrub. It’s been my favorite natural exfoliator since middle school, and it works wonders on even the most sensitive skin.
So that’s my Target Spring Shopping Haul! I’ll add more style picks as I find them, so keep an eye out for updates. What are you loving at Target right now? Next time you go, don’t forget to snag a $5 Target Gift Card when you buy 4 qualifying hair or personal care products from Unilever. Happy shopping!
