It’s wedding season, y’all! Time to bust out the pastel wedding guest dresses for spring and ditch all the heavy metallics, muted colors, and dark plum tones of fall and winter. The best thing about shopping for wedding guest dresses for spring is that classic styles can easily double as fabulous, church-appropriate Easter dresses, too. That’s why I love this pink scalloped hem shift dress. Not only is this pastel pink color to die for, but the scalloped hollow hem gives it such an expensive designer feel… for $30. The quality is great, and after at least five wears, I still haven’t noticed any issues with the dress, other than the fact that dark underwear doesn’t work well underneath it (learned that one the hard way).
I call this the perfect spring wedding guest dress because I wore it to a farmhouse wedding at Barrington Hill Farm last weekend, and I was honestly surprised by how many compliments the ensemble got. I styled it with pink cluster drop earrings from SUGARFIX by BaubleBar (my new favorite reason to go to Target), nude sandals that are super comfy and will be worn on repeat for the duration of spring/summer, and a beige clutch. Also, I’m trying to get better about re-wearing the items that I really love on Diary of a Debutante, so click here for a more casual (and winter-friendly) way to style this versatile little pink dress. Oh, and head down to the bottom of this post for full outfit details and for a round-up of fifteen other gorgeous wedding guest dresses for spring under $50!

Also, I understand that shift dresses don’t work for everyone. They’re made for a particular body type, and I have a handful of friends who just don’t wear them because they’re not flattering.
