Although I am somewhat mindful of who takes home the awards, my primary interest in the Golden Globes has always been fashion related. Some of my favorite dresses of all time have been revealed on the Golden Globe’s red carpet– Jessica Alba in her stunning melon Oscar de la Renta gown in 2013, Mila Kunis in her green Vera Wang masterpiece in 2011, Eva Longoria’s black beauty in 2012 (and 2013), etc.
Maybe it’s because I’m a pageant girl, but when it comes to fashion, gowns are my absolute favorite. Absolute favorite. I’m a sucker for jewel tones, I love my crystals, and daring neck and back lines are genius in my book. Here are my top 10 favorites for this year:

10. Nancy O’Dell
This color is magnificent  The train is perfection. The embellished neckline is beautiful. Side Note: One of my evening gowns was very similar to this, so I may be a bit partial to the design. It screams sophistication and elegance– in my humble opinion.
9. Uma Thurman in Atelier Versace
That halter top neckline. Stunning.
8. Kristin Chenoweth
I’ve already heard several criticisms of her gown, but quite frankly, I adore it. It’s conservative, but a form-fitting gem nonetheless.
7. Taylor Swift in Carolina Herrera
Love this. I adore the color blocking. She’s shining like the princess she is.
6. Mila Kunis in Gucci
Mila Kunis never disappoints on the red carpet, and this year was no different. This metallic dress is just exquisite, from the embellished bodice to the flowing chiffon hemline.
5. Kate Beckinsale
Oh, what I wouldn’t give to own this gown! Love the form-fitted silhouette, the gunmetal color, and Kate’s hair and makeup. Ugh, gorgeous.
4. Olivia Wilde in Gucci
It shouldn’t be legal to look this fabulous in your third trimester. This green dress is the epitome of sleek and sexy red carpet style.
3. Amber Heard in Gucci
I’m such a sucker for sapphire. The slit and the bodice of Amber’s gown are just impeccable.
2. Lupita Nyong’o in Ralph Lauren
I didn’t fall in love with too much bold (ie. non-jewel toned) color this year… with the obvious exception of Lupita’s Ralph Lauren crimson masterpiece. Straight off the the Spring 2014 runway, the combination of its elegant cape and ravishing color make this a gown to remember.
1. Leslie Mann
As soon as I saw Leslie, she immediately took my Best Dressed top spot. Everything about this gown–and again, forgive the pageant girl inside me– is perfection. You have black, you have lace, and you have peplum… not to mention that one of the funniest faces in Hollywood is rocking it. It’s classic, sexy, and shows off her incredibly slim figure. I’m obsessed, and if I decide to get a new gown for Miss Florida, this dress will be my muse.
So what did y’all think? Who landed in your Best Dressed top spot this year?
Happy Sunday!
Have a great week, pretties!

I know! I was asked what my favorite "trend" was, and honestly, I couldn't really pinpoint anything! Loved the variety… so many beautiful and unique dresses. Hope the Oscars is the same way!

Emilia and Margot looked FABULOUS, as well! There were so many standouts (in a good way) this year. It was hard to narrow it down to 10! Normally I only like 2 or 3 gowns… loving how celebs are stepping their game up! Can't wait for the Oscars!
