Today’s post is sponsored by Custom Ink. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you so much for supporting the brands that make Diary of a Debutante possible!
I’m super excited to finally be able to share a project I’ve been working on for weeks with y’all! The holiday season is rapidly approaching, and from experience, I know how difficult it can be. Sometimes, the easiest way to make it through is to channel all the negative energy, anxiety, and stress into altruism. One unique creative way to give back this holiday season is to raise money for a personal cause with a Custom Ink Fundraiser. Once you’ve narrowed down a cause that’s meaningful to you, Custom Ink helps set up the fundraiser from start to finish– from designing your custom t-shirts to tracking your fundraising goals along the way. Once the campaign has closed, they fulfill the orders for you and send all money raised to your designated cause. It’s super simple– but it can make a huge impact for those in need.
Since eating disorder awareness is something very near and dear to my heart, I chose to support Project HEAL. Their mission is to raise money for those suffering from eating disorders who want to recover but are unable to afford treatment. From experience, I know how inadequate coverage for mental health services is, so it’s tough for many to get the help they need. Knowing that the holidays can be stressful for anyone coping with mental illness in general, I felt like this was the perfect time to actually do something about it. Keep reading for more information about the Diary of a Debutante x Project HEAL fundraiser and a step-by-step tutorial on how to raise money for charity with Custom Ink Fundraising!
How to Start a Fundraiser with Custom Ink
Since they were founded in August 2013, Custom Ink Fundraising has helped raise over 50 million dollars for worthy causes. In addition to facilitating fundraisers, they’re also the leader in custom apparel and accessories for groups, events, and special occasions. From creative inspiration and high-quality merchandise to customer service and innovative design tools, Custom Ink makes the customization process easy and fun.
To get started, head to Custom Ink’s Design Lab and bring your custom t-shirt to life. You can take the reigns and design the shirt yourself or recruit an expert from their design team to help out. For my shirt, I knew I wanted some variation of my favorite affirmation, I am loved, I am worthy, I am enough. The Custom Ink design team helped me decide on a succinct always enough, and I couldn’t love the sentiment more.
Once you’ve got a design, choose your products. I chose a relaxed Bella + Canvas v-neck tee (with great reviews!) in pink, black, and gray.
Then, input the details for your fundraiser. Why is this cause important to you? Why should your friends and family purchase a shirt? Who will the profits benefit– and in what capacity? If you’re not confident in your pitching abilities, follow the Custom Ink fundraising prompts.
Finally, decide on a campaign duration (2 weeks, 4 weeks, etc), and your work is done. There’s no inventory, no up-front costs, and absolutely no risk for anyone involved. Just start posting to social media to get the word out– and sell away! Once the campaign has closed, Custom Ink fulfills the orders for you and sends all money raised to your designated cause. Super easy!
Helping Others HEAL: A Fundraiser Benefiting Project HEAL and Eating Disorder Treatment
Fact: Eating disorders have the highest mortality rate of all mental illnesses. Fortunately, with treatment, full and lasting recovery is possible. When I was recovering from my eating disorder, my counselor gave me a handful of daily affirmations to recite. My favorite was I am loved, I am worthy, I am enough, which inspired the design of this shirt. All proceeds from shirt sales will benefit Project HEAL, an organization that provides assistance in accessing eating disorder treatment, as well as early intervention and recovery support through their peer mentorship program, Communities of HEALing.
Now through November 4th, every shirt sale and donation will help secure eating disorder treatment for someone in need. According to Project HEAL’s donation page, $500 provides one month of specialized outpatient treatment for a recipient. So, my goal is to raise at least $1,000 to help a minimum of two people in need. Please consider ordering some shirts for yourself, friends and family, and for Christmas gifts!
These Diary of a Debutante x Project HEAL shirts are available in pink, heather gray, and black until 11/4. I like my tees oversized, so I ordered a medium, and the fit is perfect. They look super cute with jeans and also make great sleep shirts!
If you’re not interested in a shirt but would like to make a donation, click here. Your kindness is appreciated beyond words. If you’re unable to give, please consider sharing this fundraiser to help raise awareness for the prevalence of eating disorders.
So, remember… even in your weakest moments of vulnerability, you are always enough. If you got nothing else from this post, just remember that. Also, if you have any questions about my fundraiser or how to start a fundraiser of your own, shoot me an email. I’m happy to help!
