If you could assign a poster child to the opposite of a morning person, it would be me. I don’t look good in the morning, I’m not nice in the morning, and I’m in need of all the help I can get in the morning, especially with the unsightly facial wrath and skin torture brought on by winter. Now that I’m a full-time blogger, I have to be ready to go with a full face of makeup and a heck of a lot of (fake) energy at the crack of dawn some days, like for this morning’s impromptu coffee date in my new, girboss-approved red plaid pencil skirt (full outfit details at the bottom of this post), so I’ve started using St. Ives religiously to boost my skin’s and my morning’s radiance this winter– and year-round, too. St. Ives just teamed up with NY-hot spot OatMeals to create the St. Ives Radiance Boost Bowl, inspired by the natural moisturizers and ingredients found in its skincare products, and holy heck, it’s delicious. After scarfing down both mason jars’ worth of delicious oatmeal (thanks, St. Ives!), I met a girlfriend in Hyde Park for coffee, and even she said I seemed to have much more zing and pep in my step.
As for the St. Ives products themselves, St. Ives Nourish & Soothe Oatmeal and Shea Butter Lotion contains oatmeal and 100% natural moisturizers for intensely hydrated, soft, and smooth skin that smells just as amazing as it feels. A full-sized, 21oz bottle of body lotion retails for just $4.99 at food, drug, and mass retail stores. St. Ives actually just introduced the newest addition to the St. Ives menu, the Nourished & Smooth Oatmeal Body Scrub. It’s made with 100% natural exfoliants to soften skin and smooth away dryness, and it also only costs $4.99 for a 9oz bottle. Not only are their natural ingredients great for your skin, but they’re known to give your body energy, which is never a bad thing at 6AM.
I may not be all put together, but at least my skin looks fresh and feels soft. Baby steps, y’all. Baby steps.
