As soon as September rolls around, it’s finally the appropriate time for me to whip out my favorite seasonal print– houndstooth. Its neutral versatility allows you to dress it up with classic neutral colors, like black and white, or down with a more playful palette. This incredibly flattering long sleeve houndstooth print dress from SheInside, which costs less than $35 and comes with a matching skinny black belt, is the definition of work chic. When paired with cherry red accessories and Ruby Woo MAC matte lipstick, it combines all my favorite things in one Cruella DeVille-esque ensemble (minus the fact that my hair isn’t a crazy black and white tease show). Also, I will never wear real fur, so there’s that differentiation, too.

I was lucky enough to wear this houndstooth print dress ensemble amidst the regal architecture and tropical decor at the stunning Boca Raton Resort & Club, a Waldorf Astoria Resort, this past weekend. Ashley invited me to tag along with her on a media trip to Boca Raton, which is in the heart of South Florida, so we both made the most of the aesthetics of this prime oceanfront location. Major shout out to Ryan, Ashley‘s incredibly patient husband, for putting up with our girly photography demands and taking some amazing photographs of me, even with sweat dripping and makeup running down my face.
