Hey everyone! Whew, lots of updates! I’ve had a busy yet fabulous week. On Wednesday, I was invited to perform in Bradenton at the 2011 De Soto Heritage Festival Musical/Fashion Show. Aside from the fact that my car was quite literally attacked by love bugs, I had a wonderful, wonderful day. There was a dress rehearsal-esque matinee show and then a full-blown, televised evening show. I chose to perform “The Wizard and I” from Wicked, one of my all-time favorite Broadway shows, and “Reflection” by Christina Aguilera.

The evening was really about ten amazing young women vying for the titles of De Soto Queen and Princess, and just yesterday they found out who received the titles at the Grand Ball after 4 months of anticipation! For me, one full day is more than enough! Best of luck to all the girls; they were all so deserving! Also, big thanks to the De Soto SOTC organization. They all took me under their wing and kept me entertained and comfortable all day. I felt welcome the second I arrived, and I’m very thankful. Such a special day!

Today is my catch-up day. Cleaning, laundry, and hopefully some running if I get to it, which I’ll make sure is unlikely… too much fun to handle. Then tomorrow I’m off to Plant City for the Sweeps pageant (Why did I bother washing my car today? Not sure. It’s going to be bombarded with love bugs yet again tomorrow). I cannot wait to visit with my queen family and watch all my favorite contestants and beloved friends own it up there on the stage! Good luck, loves!

Perhaps the most exciting news of all is that my bestie Smashtastic Ashley is arriving this week! I’ll finally have my movie-watching buddy back in the 407, so please don’t be offended if I don’t answer my phone for a few days; I’ll be filling the void caused by a lack of movie theatre show attendance.

On an equally depressing note, Rosie Patricia just returned to London after a week in the states 🙁 Even though I already miss her terribly, I’m so proud of the success and independence she’s found on her own. You’re amazing. Well, cleaning calls! I hope everyone has a spectacular day and is enjoying the early yet completely expected summer weather! Get those tans on.

Love,

    Firstly, you are a princess.
Secondly, I will be sorely disappointed if you ever stop making over animated facial expressions while singing [or doing anything].

I love you. x SO PROUD
