I haven’t shared it yet (oops), but apple picking at a local orchard was at the tippy top of my “Fall in Maine 2016” bucket list. Kyle and I lucked out, as Sewall Orchard, Maine’s oldest operating and most charming organic orchard, is located just a mile up the road from our place in Lincolnville. We found more of what Kyle dubbed “delicious snack-sized apples” than we could’ve ever imagined, and quite honestly, it’s going to be pretty darn difficult to revert back to store bought apples once peak growing season ends. These little guys taste like candy, and the orchards themselves are visually breathtaking. Aside from being chilly, especially at night, I could spend hours sitting and relaxing beneath the perfectly aligned tree trunks– so, luckily, I dressed for the occasion in a striped L.L. Bean sweater and cozy pink and rum raisin striped blanket scarf, which happens to benefit the NBCF during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
