October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Approximately one in eight U.S. women (about 12%) will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime, and in 2016, an estimated 246,660 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected to be diagnosed, along with 61,000 new cases of non-invasive, what’s know as in situ, breast cancer. My degree is in Actuarial Science, so please excuse me for speaking in blunt statistics. You can help raise awareness and show your support for those affected, as well as the friends and families of those affected, this year by wearing a piece from the limited edition Breast Cancer collection from Talbots. Not only is their specially curated capsule collection absolutely precious, but 20% of the October net sales will be donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc., whose admirable mission is to promote early detection and education.
