Let’s be honest, a Floridian winter is unique to anywhere else in the nation. To the surprise of most, it does get relatively cold, but I’d say for 11 out of 12 weeks, we’re indulging in colder-than-usual sunshine-filled weather, ie. temperatures in the 60s/70s instead of 80s/90s. Last year, our worst “cold front” lasted 2 days, and we were back at the beach in record time. 1/12/14-1/13/14… never forget.

Yes, this, for the most part, eliminates warm blanket scarves and adorable pea coats from our statewide wardrobe– so what exactly is Florida winter fashion? A handful of my fabulous fellow Floridians have collaborated to share! I usually end up with a half cool, half warm combination– perfect for the cool spritzes of wind yet airy enough to avoid excess perspiration. Don’t nobody got time for that.

Hop from blog to blog to see style tips from across the state. I reside in the central region– reppin’ the 4-0-7, and a typical daytime playtime outfit consists of a pop of red, like this amazingly comfortable warmspun turtleneck in Dark Poppy, a wool J. Crew mini (I own more than I’d care to admit), and either heels or heeled boots.
