With the exception of her shoes, I’ve been really disappointed with the LC Lauren Conrad Collection at Kohl’s in the past. Nothing ever fit me right, and 9 times out of 10, I was swimming (in the most unflattering way possible) in everything. I was really intrigued by her new Dress Up Shop Collection, which consists of dressy casual ensembles that were tactfully designed for spring weddings, graduations, and all the seasonal occasions a girl needs to dress up for. For the first time in a long time, I added about seven of her items to my shopping cart, including these staple nude heels I’ve been wearing all over the place. I had some Kohl’s Cash (plus I used a 20% off coupon code) and took a risk on this pastel green spring slip dress in a size 0.
I’ve never really experimented with the whole slip dress trend before, but man oh man does this one look classic and feminine. The structure and chiffon/tulle construction are worth every penny, and the Ocean Wave pattern is picture perfect for spring. If you’re not a green fan, it also comes in Peach Puree, which looks equally pretty on the website. I unfortunately can’t testify to what it looks like in person. The straps were a bit uncomfortable at first, but then I realized they’re adjustable, which made my 4-star review jump to a 5-star. I actually wore this spring slip dress to church on Easter Sunday, and if I’d gotten this post up last week, I would’ve suggested it as the perfect Easter dress. I mean, these shades of pastel green just have Easter written all of them! Scroll to the bottom of this post for full outfit details.
