We got almost two feet of snow last weekend, and I’ve honestly never seen Columbia look so gorgeous. It’s a literal winter wonderland, and nobody’s happier about it than the pups. Nala and Nellie hop around in it like little foxes, and it’s the most precious thing I’ve ever seen. I, on the other hand, prefer looking at it through a window. My warm Florida blood can’t hang in freezing temperatures. To be fair, I still don’t really have the proper cold weather wardrobe, so I figured it was time to invest in an ultrawarm parka from a reputable brand. I’m the world’s biggest LL Bean fan (and I’m particularly fond of their generous return policy), so I landed on this coat in paperwhite. I don’t know how I ever survived a real winter without it.
I’m completely amazed by how versatile this coat is. It’s warm and long yet chic and fitted. The material is also super breathable, so it’s perfect for layering. My personal favorite way to style it is with Bean boots, skinny jeans, and an oversized turtleneck sweater (specifically these boots, these jeans, and this sweater). Also, if you’re wondering how to style Bean boots, socks play a big role. Not only do they help keep your feet warm, they help keep your pant legs in your boots and avoid any unsightly untucking. This thermal sock is my favorite, and it comes in a 2-pack. Kyle and I buy more practically every time LL Bean has a sale. Head to the bottom of this post for full outfit details!
I really wasn’t kidding when I said the puppies are in heaven! Also, isn’t Nellie getting big?! She’s almost the same size as Nala now!
Oh, one more thing– I love that this coat features an adjustable hood with zip-off faux fur trim! It helps keep my neck warm and looks chic and trendy in the process.

Is anyone else expecting snow in the next few days? We’re planning on being snowed in all weekend, so if you have any new book or show recommendations, I’m all ears!

Beautiful!
Hi lovely~ great post. I’m heading to the LL Bean outlet next week. Anything I should seek out for you?
We just made a massive order right before Christmas, so I think we’re good. Thanks so much, though, Annie! Take lots of pictures– maybe their winter decorations will still be up!
