I’ll be completely honest… I never thought I’d ever be seen willingly wearing a crop top. I’m all for taking fashion risks, but my risk-taking usually involves varying the length of my skirt or experimenting with ruffles. It doesn’t usually involve bearing my midriff for the world to see– and paying more for a garment that provides less than half the regular fabric of a traditional top. Yes, I used to compete in pageants (evidence), and yes, I’ve worn a bathing suit before (also evidence). I’m no stranger to showing off my (what used to be) abs. Just something about the stereotypical crop top trend screams cheap/tacky. My interest was peaked when I saw this matching crop top and shorts set on SheIn.com. The print reminds me of Greece for some reason, and it had pretty impressive reviews, so I decided to give it a go. So glad I did. 

Oh, and don’t let the $18 price tag fool you. This matching crop top and shorts set is well made and super comfortable. I wore this outfit to the Disney Springs Insta-Walk a few weeks ago, and even in the Florida heat, I stayed a very very happy camper. The material is light, has quite a bit of stretch to it, and is surprisingly soft. Also, it’s not fitted or tight around the arm pits, which is a major pet peeve of mine. These pictures were actually taken at Disney Springs, so due to the nature of our move-and-shake itinerary, I styled this matching crop top and shorts set with my comfiest Tory Burch Miller flats and a versatile GiGi New York clutch that somehow turns into a bottomless Mary Poppins bag in times of need.
