I’ve never been on board with the whole poncho phenomenon. They usually remind me of rainy middle school field trips, especially since my Catholic prep school’s official uniform print was black and red plaid. You go, Lake Highland! However, this open-front, wool-blend tartan poncho from Old Navy completely changed my prep school field trip mentality. The plaid print wrap is absolutely perfect for fall, and the design is still breezy enough to wear in the midst of Florida’s 80-degree Octobers. I paired my plaid poncho wrap, which is Katie Holmes-approved, with another gem from Old Navy, this $5 burgundy ponte-knit pencil skirt. I tied it all together with some cognac, aka the best fall neutral to ever exist ever, and a stack of my favorite monogrammed bangles.
I’ve listed full outfit details at the bottom of this post. Huge thanks to Ashley Brooke for her patience with my hair, the wind, and both of their unruliness.
How darling are these monogrammed bangles from Ellie’s Sparkles? They just launched their brand new Leather Collection at the beginning of October, and I never knew a bangle(s) could make such a statement. My custom-made stack is UCF-themed (duh), but they are great to wear alone or to stack, mix, and match with other jewelry.
