Happy Valentine’s, Galentine’s, or just any old regular Day, y’all! Regardless of what you’re up to on February 14th, Valentine’s Day is a great opportunity to celebrate all the love in your life– romantic, platonic, and everything in between. This year I’m lucky enough to say that, in addition to the endless love I’m blessed to receive from family and friends, I get to spend the day with the most fun, sweet, smart, handsome, and loving guy I’ve ever met. I’ve never really given any of the nitty gritty details as to how/where/why we met, but he couldn’t have found me at a better time. We were set up by two friends on a camping trip that could’ve gone terribly wrong and awkward in every way possible– but it didn’t. It was one of the most fun nights of my life.
I was still in the depressing beginning stages of battling my second eating disorder, and after just a few hours of laughing and (literally) running in and out of the woods, I was able to open up to him like we’d known each other for years. His genuine heart, coupled with the fact that there isn’t an ounce of judgement in his entire body, was a huge influence and driving force in convincing me to seek professional treatment again for my ED, giving me enough courage to quit my financial 9-5 to pursue blogging, and reassuring me that I could trust dudes again. I’m so lucky to be able to call him my boyfriend, and I love him more than words can say (although I’m still trying anyways). I’m so grateful to Brittany of Brittany Rae Photography for capturing these adorable, frame-worthy images in Portland just a few days before driving back to Florida. As always, you’ll also find affordable pink shift dress details at the bottom of this post, as well!
Now that all the sappy Valentine’s Day stuff is out of the way, I wanted to touch on this affordable pink shift dress for a quick sec. It’s got the most unique hollow hem, and it’s the perfect $21 addition to any girly girl’s spring wardrobe. Since Maine is freezing even on the warmest days and since the material is pretty thin, I paired this affordable pink shift dress with a light front dip hem coat, blush color block blanket scarf that benefits Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and a stunning pair of peep-toe block heel pumps that also come in black.
Shop the Look: Affordable Pink Shift Dress: SheIn, $21 | Coat: SheIn, $29 | Heels: Payless, $25 (on sale) | Scarf: Talbots, $27 (on clearance) | Watch: Michele, $395 | Earrings: Kendra Scott, $65 | Bag: Tory Burch, $295 (similar)
