I’m at a weird place in my life. I’m not old enough to forego celebrating Halloween, but I feel like I’m too old to spend $100 on a cheap and/or provocative Costume-in-a-Bag type deal. Ergo, the only real solution is to create a costume which can easily double as a Not-Just-Halloween/Any-Day-of-the-Year ensemble.
Nobody personifies my ideal stylistic look more than Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s, so I’ve created a reusable and inexpensive remake of her iconic outfit as the adorably sassy Holly Golightly. The sheath black dress can easily morph into a date night look, and the accessories (with the exception of the tiara, unless you’re a pageant girl and/or proud princess) can be worn year-round, as well.
Recreate this Audrey Hepburn Halloween costume: Tiara: Light in the Box, $22.79 | Necklace: J. Crew, $29.50 on Sale | Dress: Forever 21, $24.90 | Sunglasses: Fantas-Eyes, $20
Pair your outfit with black pumps, style your hair with a high sock bun, grab some black gloves if you’ve got them, and you’re literally good to go! No additional purchase necessary. Score. Also, in case you’re particularly strapped this Halloween…or you just want the opportunity to win some great prizes, check out the Coupons.com Halloween Creepstakes, which gives you the chance to win $100 in daily prize giveaways and a $3,000 grand price. It ends October 31st, so start getting those entries in now.

Thanks, lady!
I definitely gravitate towards creating costumes where I can use items I already have in my closet to save money, this is a great idea.

Right? I'm always a fan of fashion versatility.
I'm going as a viking. Since my friends are throwing a theme Halloween party. I always think it great to find a Halloween costume in your own closet.
Very cute! Hope you have fun!
Love this! I was thinking about being a belly dancer 🙂

Very cute idea! I will probably be out of town with family so I doubt I will dress up this year. :'(
Aw boo. I think I'm just going to end up dressing up to pass out candy!
