Blogger Stephanie Ziajka shares how to create your own Dream Jar on Diary of a Debutante

Confession– I got a little overly ambitious with my New Year’s resolutions for 2016. That said, I’m committed to making this year my best one yet, so I don’t want to let any of my aspirations fall by the wayside. To help stay on track, I thought it’d be fun to create a colorful Dream Jar to represent all my goals. From “deposit an extra $100 into my Roth IRA” to “book a trip outside the country,” every accomplishment counts. No matter how big or small, it’s fun (and ridiculously satisfying) to watch your jar gradually go from full to needs more dreams

I started a makeshift Dream Jar in 2014, but because half my goals weren’t very realistic (why can’t “become Miss America” be more likely?), I forgot about it within a few weeks. I’ve reconstructed a more, um… pragmatic Dream Jar for 2016 with over 100 of my wishes for the coming year. Once a week (or month), I’ll draw a dream out of the jar and make it a reality. The jar’s categories (professional, financial, leisure, adventure, and social) are color-coded, too, so I know I won’t pick two major expense-incurring actions within the same month.

I don’t have any children yet, but I already know this will be an annual tradition for my family and me. I keep my completed dreams in a separate jar, as well, so at the end of the year, I can look through all that I’ve accomplished thus far. It’s fun to look through all the things I’ve actually accomplished!

And in the spirit of celebrating the little things in life,  the one big thing I don’t have to worry about is my time of the month thanks to o.b.®. Since every woman’s body is different, o.b.® tampons are designed to help stop leaks with revolutionary Fluid-Lock® grooves by expanding all-around to fit each unique shape. They’re teeny tiny and affordable (and discrete) enough to store in my car, gym locker, mom’s house, brother’s house, and pretty much everywhere else. Cheers to those good things in small packages.
