As part of my updated beauty content schedule, I’m committing to one product review or endorsement each week—starting with a game-changing recommendation from my stylist: the It’s a 10 Miracle Leave-In Product. If you’re looking for the best leave-in conditioner for damaged hair, this might be your new holy grail.

My Hair Journey (and Why I Needed a Miracle)

Fun fact: in the world of pageantry, blondes often place higher. That little insight kicked off my long journey from deep brunette to platinum blonde and back again. Over the years, I’ve put my hair through intense color treatments– some beautiful, some regrettable– and while I’ve finally returned to my natural dark brown, the damage has lingered.

Even though I’m no longer bleaching my hair regularly, my strands have still felt dry, brittle, and frizz-prone. My stylist suggested I try It’s a 10, and honestly? I didn’t have high hopes at first. My hair was that bad. But after one use, I saw and felt a visible difference– and now, it’s a staple in my routine.

What Makes It’s a 10 So Special?

As its name suggests, It’s a 10 Miracle Leave-In promises to do ten things instantly:

  • Repairs dry, damaged hair
  • Adds shine
  • Detangles
  • Controls frizz
  • Seals and protects hair color
  • Prevents split ends
  • Stops hair breakage
  • Creates silkiness
  • Enhances natural body
  • Acts as a flat iron spray and thermal protector

The wild part? In my experience, it genuinely delivers on every single claim.

How I Use It

After shampooing and conditioning, I generously spray It’s a 10 throughout my damp hair and comb through to evenly distribute. Although you can dry your hair right away, I typically let it sit for about an hour before blow-drying to give it time to work its magic.

From the very first use, my hair felt softer, shinier, and significantly less frizzy. After about three weeks of consistent use, I started receiving compliments left and right, even though I hadn’t been to the salon in weeks.

Where to Buy + Is It Worth the Price?

You can find It’s a 10 Miracle Leave-In Product at most drugstores, salons, and online retailers, like Amazon. A 4 oz bottle typically runs under $20, and a 10 oz bottle is typically just under $30 (way better value). While it may seem a bit pricey for a drugstore brand, the formula is concentrated, lasts for weeks, and (most importantly) it works. If you’re struggling with dryness or frizz, this product is absolutely worth the investment.

Runner-Up Hair Repair Favorites

If you’re exploring other options or want to rotate products, here are five runner-up favorites for hair repair and heat protection–

Blogger Stephanie Ziajka shares five of the best hair repair products (in addition to It's a 10 Miracle Leave-In Product) on Diary of a Debutante

  • SH-RD Protein Cream– This protein-rich leave-in treatment is great if your hair needs a little extra TLC before heat styling. It helps protect and rebuild damaged strands, and a little goes a long way. I especially like it on days when my ends feel dry or stressed from too much heat.
  • Moroccanoil Treatment– Moroccanoil has been a staple in my routine for years. It adds shine, smooths frizz, and hydrates without feeling greasy. It also works really well on extensions and even wigs—just a tiny bit makes a big difference.
  • Biolage Strength Recovery Leave-In Conditioning Spray– This lightweight spray is perfect for detangling and softening right out of the shower. It’s not heavy at all, so it won’t weigh your hair down, and it helps keep things manageable, especially if your hair tends to tangle easily.
  • Biolage Smooth Proof Leave-In Cream– If you’re trying to skip the flat iron, this is a great option. It helps tame frizz and smooth out your hair without needing to heat style. I use it when I want a softer, more polished look with minimal effort.
  • Nexxus Therappe Shampoo and Humectress Conditioner– This duo is great for dry or damaged hair. It helps with split ends and leaves your hair feeling softer and more manageable. I’ve used it off and on for years and always come back to it when my hair needs a little extra repair. Read my full review here!

And if your hair is in need of instant volume, don’t underestimate the power of good extensions. Clip-ins are great for temporary glam, while sewn or glued extensions offer longer-term fullness (though they’re not the most comfortable option). Before Miss Florida, I had glued-in extensions added, and they completely transformed my look.

So… what my final verdict? If you’re wondering whether It’s a 10 Miracle Leave-In Product is worth the hype, I can confidently say yes. It delivers on its claims, simplifies your hair routine, and brings salon-quality results to your bathroom counter. Whether your hair is color-treated, heat-styled, or just naturally dry, this product is a must-try.

Have you used It’s a 10? What are your favorite deep conditioners or leave-ins for hair repair? Let me know in the comments—I love discovering new products to test!

Yay! I am so happy you did a review on this product! I was skeptical about the product but I am going to run out and buy some asap! My biggest problem is static! My daughter has the same problem. I have been fighting this for years. Hopefully this product will help!
    Happy Monday!

Frizz//static are my WORST enemies, Brooke, and this stuff (so far) has worked like a charm! I'm such a fan. Just make sure you buy the smaller bottle in case it doesn't work as well on your hair. It's a 10 comes in like 17 different sizes. Have a great week! Oh, and HAPPY MONDAY! :)

Hey Martha! I completely understand what you mean. It's a 10 comes in smaller bottles than this one, so I think you can test it for under $10. It's definitely worth it in my opinion, but make sure you like it before you buy the full size. It's pretty awesome, though; I'll be honest! Happy Monday! :)

My hair stylist always tells me I need some more moisture in my routine, but some of the ones I've tried make my hair look too greasy instantly! I'll give this one a shot…I too went from dirty blonde to blonder, then had an early mid life crisis (lol, not really) and went dark dark dark brown, then gradually back to blonde. My hair paid for it with the dryness. Thanks for sharing!

If anyone understands dry, damaged hair… it's me! Just make sure you spray it in before blow drying, and your problem will be solved. Totally understand the greasy hair problem, by the way; mine's the same way! Happy Monday, darling!

I just finished my bottle of It's a 10! One more thing it does – smells really good!

I, too, damaged the crap out of my hair with a recent bout of platinum. Plus, I blow out and flat iron my hair almost every day! Yikes! So moisture and repair are always needed here!

Also, totally jelly you're getting extensions. Clamped or bonded? I want them so bad! But I decided to experiment with clip ins first. I'm over it. Want more semi-permanent ones!

Hey Shauna! I used to be the same way, but my stylist scared the bajeesus out of me by telling me all my hair would fall out if I kept up that heat routine. I only wash/condition/style it 2-3 times a week, depending on my activities during the day (workout=wash hair). I'm so glad I found this stuff!

The ones I used at Miss Florida were bonded, and while they lasted a while (2-3 weeks), they irritated my scalp SO BADLY. I'm getting clip-in ones for now, strictly cause I've heard amazing things about their ease of application//removal. I may end up reverting back to bonding, but we'll see… I'm such an extensions freak. I love them!

So glad you stopped by! Have a fabulous week :)

I'm glad you posted this review. My hair dresser is always trying to get me to try it. I can never tell if it is a good product, or if they are just trying to "sell." I'll have to try it now :)

I know EXACTLY what you mean. I'm normally hesitant to buy products from salons, too, but my current stylist is very aware of my frugality. Plus, I never buy them from the salon directly; Amazon/Target/Walmart have way better prices! Give it a try; definitely worth it! Have a great week, Jo :)

It's wonderful! I'm such a fan. It's pricier, but you can also get the It's a 10 Leave-In Conditioner with Keratin in it… ugh, that stuff is the BEST. Thanks for stopping by, Kathryn!

It will! I'm serious, within one use (and I let mine sit for about an hour before blow drying) my hair was shinier, more voluminous, and less frizzy. I love this stuff! So glad you liked the review. Have a fabulous week :)

Right?! It's the best! And I'm the same way; I hate when products make my newly washed hair feel greasy. Kind of defeats the purpose of washing//conditioning. Glad you stopped by! Have a fabulous day!

Given the price I was hesitant to order but went out on a limb with this after reading the other reviews. I was really happy that I did because this works wonderfully. It’s a 10 Haircare Miracle Leave was more expensive than I would have liked but after using it, I would definitely order it again. My sister-in-law will be getting a bottle for her birthday as part of her present for sure this year.
