J Brand High Waist Flare Jeans

I don’t consider my personal style to be trendy. One particular trend, however, caught my eye this season– high waist flare jeans. I remember when bell bottoms made a brief comeback while I was a middle school pipsqueak, and I was that girl who kept wearing hers long after the trend was trendy. As a girl measuring in at 5’7″ (and probably 4′ in 7th grade), I appreciate and celebrate any cuts or styles that shrink my waist and elongate my average-length legs. I do love my collection of skinny jeans and jeggings, but they really don’t help out in the height department, since they literally cut off your legs at your feet.

It’s always a risk buying pants online, so I literally lucked out with this pair of J Brand high waist flare jeans from Shopbop. They’re the perfect length, and they fit like a dream. As soon as I got them in the mail, I refused to take them off– and Kyle can attest to the fact that it spawned my new “’70s Barbie” nickname. Head to the bottom of this post for full outfit details!

Have y’all given the flare jeans trend a try yet? If not, I highly recommend it. High wait flare jeans are super slimming, and since they cover the majority of your feet, you don’t have to worry about choosing the exact right pair of shoes, which is always helpful when you’re traveling and away from your extensive boot collection. If this isn’t the exact pair you’re searching for, you can shop similar styles here. You can also explore more of my favorite fall trends, modeled by some of my favorite fellow bloggers, here. Have a fabulous week, and Happy November!
