Some exciting news, y’all! 1) I’m now with Slate Model Management, and I’m ecstatic. After a few questionable encounters as a freelance model, I’m definitely feeling good about this move. You can view my portfolio here. 2) I was invited to be a part of a wonderful blogging network called Live Creatively Inspired. I’ll be contributing weekly as their designated beauty/fashion blogger, and our first post went live earlier this week! Eee. Please be sure and check out the site! 3) I was notified that I’m a grand prize recipient, ie “VoxBox Badge Winner,” for writing a post about my affinity for the new Goody Quickstyle Brush. More free stuff from Influenster? I’ll take it! 🙂

Anyways, on to the main point of this post… I love Pinterest. It’s essentially a virtual database of things I want to make//buy//copy. One of my most fabulous finds of the past few weeks is Lily and Laura bracelets.

These gorgeous glass beaded bracelets are both fabulous and philanthropic; the focus of Lily and Laura’s business is to pay fair trade wages to their artisan craftsmen in Nepal, thereby improving the quality of their lives and allowing them the freedom to work only when they are inspired (in the comfort of their homes or on rooftop decks during favorable weather). Ergo, your business supports the working women of a region in need, while also providing you with stylish and moderately-priced jewelry.

Each bracelet is completely unique, and a set of 3 is typically $30. You can purchase them through Amazon, Bella Vita, and The Impeccable Pig, to name a few sites. I just ordered my first bundle of adorable green bracelets from The Impeccable Pig, and I can’t wait to receive them. Like I said, it’s one thing to find gorgeous hand-crafted jewelry… and it’s another thing to help a community in need while simultaneously enjoying their product. I’m obsessed. No need to contemplate birthday, mother’s day, or girly presents for the next few months… yay!

Now for a relaxing, sun-filled weekend. I can’t WAIT. Anyone have big plans?

I JUST ordered mine on Wednesday, so I'm super excited to get them. I'm hoping eventually they'll be in local boutiques, too. They're just too cute! Have a great weekend 🙂

I know! Buyers remorse immediately disintegrates when you're helping a good cause; it's scientifically proven 🙂 Hope you have a wonderful weekend, as well!

    Hi Stephanie,

I am just getting into to Pinterest. I more or less just post stuff from the blog. I haven't gotten into pinning and repining. I tried, it just doesn't tickle my fancy. These bracelets are pretty though. You are beautiful too might I add. Congrats on all your recent accomplishments. Happy sharing #sharfest!

Thanks, Joi! I'm addicted to Pinterest, and I'll be honest; I spend wayyy too much time on my boards. So, not being into it isn't really a bad thing! I do find the occasional gem (like these bracelets), though, so it has its perks. Happy Sharefest, and have a fabulous weekend!

      xo,
      Steph
