First and foremost: RIP Lilly Pulitzer. Your bright and colorful designs have made a lasting impact on the fashion industry, and your spirit and love for life will live in the hearts of your fans forever. Secondly, Happy Monday! I hope y’all had a lovely and relaxing weekend. I know I did (emphasis on the relaxing). I didn’t really get anything even remotely productive done. Whoops.

Upon the recommendation of a very dear friend and fellow beauty queen, I decided to try out CoverGirl’s LipPerfection Jumbo Gloss Balm on a whim at Target. I’m extremely happy to report that I’m obsessed.

This gloss balm looks like a big lip liner pencil; however, it’s the size of a jumbo crayon. You literally color the subtle “stain” on your lips, and it doesn’t come off for hours, which is rare with lip balms. Not to mention, the color variety left me in a state of utter panic. I couldn’t decide which color to go for, so after my initial test with Berry Twist (23), I ended up buying 4 others. Oh, and the best part is that, unlike most lip color products, this gloss balm doesn’t dry out your lips. On the contrary, it actually moisturizes them pretty darn well. Anย auxiliary gloss isn’t even necessary; all you need to do is twist up the color, and you’ve got the shine in the palm of your hands.

You better believe I put this color to the test, too. My go-to experiment will always take place during my morning coffee escapades. If more color is left as evidence on my mug than on my lips, epic fail=bad review. CoverGirl LipPerfection Jumbo Gloss Balm passed with flying colors.

Almost no color residue on my white ceramic traveler cup! Super.

These lovely little gloss balms range from $6-9 at all major drug stores. I recommend Target ($7- heyo!), but I’m sure Wal-Mart also offers competitive pricing. I find myself consistently disgusted with Walgreens and CVS; for being designated drug stores, they charge up the wazoo for the most popular beauty products. Not cool, Walgreens.

Well, on to conquer another week full of appointments, event planning, and 5K training. The Corporate 5K is next week, and ya… I’m not exactly on schedule with my “Couch to 5K” plan. ย I’ll be okay, though.ย Power of positive thinking!ย

Oh no ๐Ÿ™ there's always next time! They're pretty cheap, too, so it won't break the bank. I can't stand paying upwards of $15 for ONE lip tube of lipstick. Hope you have a fabulous weekend, lady!

      xo,
      Steph
