A few weeks ago, I participated in an editorial bridal project with Andi Mans Weddings, Best Photography, and a handful of other Central Florida vendors at the Bramble Tree Estate. I’m still drooling over how perfectly the collaboration came together. This shoot was featured in The Knot, which was super cool, and I’m so excited to have been a part of it all! However, contrary to what this stunning editorial shoot may show, I’m not, nor have I ever been, a real bride. I’m just a girl who thoroughly enjoys playing dress up in designer wedding dresses.
Nevertheless, after experiencing the hysteria of multiple friends’ weddings first hand, I think we can all agree that dealing with suit and/or tux drama two days before a wedding is a bad idea. Something will inevitably be too short, too snug, or too sloppy. Since traditional tuxedo vendors typically allow for pickup only 48 hours before the big event, there isn’t a lot of wiggle room for Plan B, which only creates more stress for the bride-to-be. On several occasions, I’ve asked myself, “How is there not a more convenient online tux rental option for dudes?” Well, funny story– there is, and it’s called Menguin. Below you’ll find some FAQs to help describe the process, plus a sneak peak of the aforementioned editorial wedding shoot at Bramble Tree Estate!
What is Menguin?
Menguin is best online tuxedo rental service on the market. It’s also becoming the new norm for renting a tux. With the largest inventory in the country, six national distribution centers, and 24/7 customer service, Menguin is hands-down the best online tux rental option. They take the hassle and stress out of tuxedo fitting and renting with a super simple 4-step process, which starts with simply building your look. You can customize your suit or build a tux easily with accessories in just a few clicks. You have complete control, from the neckwear to the shoes and everything in between.
How does Menguin work?
Your order will ship 10-12 days before your event. It will typically arrive on your doorstep about a week before the special day. Then, once you receive your suit or tux, try it on within 24 hours. After your incredible night, slap the prepaid return label on the box or included bag and drop it off at the local UPS. They even include the packing tape… because who can ever find a roll when you actually need it? I told you they’re best online tuxedo rental service around!
As far as sizing goes, Menguin gives you a couple of options for ensuring the right size gets to your doorstep. You can either take their tailor fit card and get your measurements from a tailor or let Menguin walk you through how to find your sizes in your closet.
How much does it normally cost to rent a tux?
Tux rentals range from low $80s to $150, depending on how you choose to build a tux. Free shipping is included with every tux rental. Also, if anything doesn’t fit, they’ll expedite free replacements right away.
Come the big day, the bride and groom-to-be will be stress-free, or at least focusing their stress on other important things, and everyone will look as dapper as can be. You can also score some pretty fabulous wedding ideas from Menguin’s Pinterest board, too, so check that out if you’ve got a couple minutes!
If you’re engaged (congrats!) or already married, how did you go about renting your hubby’s tux? Did you experience the same anxiety all my BFFs did? Oh, and thanks again to Best Photography and Andi Mans Weddings for styling these drop dead gorgeous images at Bramble Tree Estate. Y’all obviously rock.
