I’m not one to make outspoken political statements, but I will say that I’d rather patronize an honest small business than a large corporation any day of the week. My mama is the same way, so naturally I try to avoid getting her run of the mill gifts for Mother’s Day. I saw something about JLynn Jewelry and their gorgeous line of birthstone jewelry in InStyle Magazine a few months ago, and I was immediately obsessed.

Jen, aka J Lynn, started this business out of a shoe box and developed her brand into bright, sparkly, and uniquely recognizable jewelry. Her hand-crafted collections of necklaces, earrings, and bracelets are simple yet super sophisticated, and they go with everything, which is a fashion rarity these days. Plus, she doesn’t only design birthstone jewelry; there’s a variety of additional gemstone and engraved pieces available, too.
