Kyle and I don’t take many vacations, so when we do, we’ve got to make them count. This summer, we decided to revisit our old stomping ground and take the pups all the way to Maine. I normally hate packing, especially before a 25-hour road trip, but something about gathering all my best New England outfits instantly puts a smile on my face. One of the first things I grabbed were these white Talbots Denim Crop Jeggings. They’re so comfy, y’all, and they go with everything. Plus, I love that they’re not skin tight. So many jeggings are impossible to move in, and this ultra-stretch pair is perfect for traveling, exploring, and pretty much everything in between. Case in point, I wore them to explore Pemaquid Point Lighthouse Park last week.

In case you missed my Maine Travel Guide a few years back, Pemaquid Point Lighthouse Park is one of our must-do’s year after year. It gets more and more gorgeous every time we visit. I specifically styled this preppy, New England-inspired outfit knowing that we’d be taking a zillion pictures. I mean, with this view and backdrop, how can you not?! Head to the bottom of this post for full outfit details!

I also want to highlight the scalloped neck of this Talbots tee. It screams New England, and I love it. The fit is relaxed, too, and the prima cotton is ridiculously soft. Plus, this striped tee looks equally chic tucked into skirts for a dressier look.

As far as dressing for Pemaquid goes, my only caveat is that even on the sunniest days (like this one– thank the Lord for sunglasses), it can get pretty chilly. Dress slightly warmer or bring a back-up layer if you go. Also, wear comfortable shoes. I always bring a back-up pair of boat shoes to avoid twisting an ankle. Trust me, you’ll be doing yourself a disservice if you don’t climb on the rocks, and they can get pretty slippery.
